  1. Great group shot of Actions Mike! Hope you get the #81 soon to complete that nice 10 issue run.
  2. Nice Sub-Mariner #13 Jon! Cool cover, and I don't remember seeing it before. I've seen hooded nazis, but I don't think I've seen the hooded Japanese before.
  3. I'm late to the party, but WOW what a nice copy with great looking pages. Congrats!
  4. Wow Tec1kid, how come I never get books like these mailed to me? Both looks present really well, and I especially like the AA. Which book, of these two, do you like best?
  5. The trend for me in picking between a rare book or high grade book, the rare one wins a majority of the time. I'll take the TEC #1.
  6. Wow Jon What a great pickup. I'd love to acquire a Supes #2 someday as I love those Shuster covers as well. First a Supes #5 and soon after a Supes #2? What a great month for you
  7. Real nice Master Comics war cover Matt! Probably a top 3 cover in the entire run. Great pickup!
  8. Nice group shot GE. Some awesome books in there. I'll have to check out the the photo storage website you used, as the scans display nicely.
  9. Awesome TEC #29 ciorac! Looks nice out of the holder too. I'm probably in the minority on this one, but I like the cover to #29 slightly more than the cover to #31. Great book.
  10. I'm with Alton, glad to see this thread finally get some action. Awesome copy of Superman #5 Jon! A real classic Superman image, plus I think it has an early Luthor story doesn't it? Congrats!
  11. Marvel Mystery #9 for me. I'd obviously like either one of these great books, but I'll go with the harder to find book with the heroes I like like better.
  12. These two books sold a few years apart, but I suspect the current prices would be fairly close. Classic Cap cover vs.an Action that is the highest graded copy. Which would you choose: Tough choice, but I'll surprisingly lean towards the Cap #3. Too cool a cover to pass on, even for a high grade Action.
  13. I'll take: Baman #1: 1st Joker & Catwoman, 1st Batman in his own title, presents nicer, and no glue on it. Fantastic #3: Cooler, more rare book.
  14. Just a made up name for the joking around I did in my last post. Nice collection of TECs you got from Metro by the way. Really like the #34. Beautiful Tec 31 as well.
  15. Nice summary. I agree O'Mealia did some really nice work. I have the same opinion of miswraps & spine rolls, but this particular one doesn't look bad enough to make me pass on it.
  16. OK, here's one. Lower/midgrade early Action with White pages. Or, high grade Marvel Mystery with cream/offwhite. Both sold in the $7,500 range though the sales were a few years apart: I'll take the 3rd appearance of Superman.
  17. Both books guide the same. The slight differnece in page quality wouldn't bother me so I'll take the cover image I like better, the #30.
  18. Ouch, that's tough. My personal grail that I've been trying to find for a long time, or a Supes #1. Well, I'll still have to go with the Supes #1. I don't neccessarily need a high grade Action #13, so I'd be happy finding a low grade copy at a much lower price someday. Too hard to pass on a Supes #1.
  19. One of the most high demand and rare in grade GA Classic Covers that ever walked the face of this planet I'll take the Supes #1 hands down. Suspense #3 is a nice book (maybe even great), but for the money we're talking about, "rare in high grade" is FAR down the list of reasons why I'd buy a book. Basically, the reasons I'd like a Supes #1 far outweigh the reasons I'd like a Suspense #3.
  20. I remember seeing that copy on Clink and thinking what a great looking copy it is. Congrats on a great pickup!
  21. I gotta go with the presentable 4.0 TEC #27 over the fugly 3.0 Action #1 in this case.
  22. Tough choice between the Marvel 1 and the TEC 27 as I'd love to have either of them. When it's a coin toss, I've got to go with the superhero I like better ... so TEC 27 it is.
  23. Just kidding around. I have no problem with your stance at all Everyone's collecting tastes are fine by me.
