  1. Wow, sweet MM 46. Love that cover! (thumbs u One issue away from a complete Marvel Mystery run. That would have to be the quickest that set has ever been put together.
  2. Really nice Action 20 with one of my fav covers. thedude is right, you just don't see this book in unrestored condition very often. Cool Ultra-humanite story inside too.
  3. Cool! Never seen those covers... And come to think of it, never seen the phrase "thanks to DTACollectibles" either.
  4. Thanks for posting Rick. I've never paid much attention to GA Wonder Woman books before. I must say I'm pleasantly surprised at how cool many of the covers are. (thumbs u
  5. Great cover on the Superman #4, plus the 2 Luthor stories inside are an excellent read. (thumbs u
  6. Thanks everyone for the nice comments. (thumbs u I believe there are four Action Comics tank covers (that I can think of). I have #17 & #40. I hope to get a #59 & #62 to round out the set. Although, the tank on #62 is very small, it is there.
  7. Hard to follow a pristine copy of Action 13 but I'll give it a shot. Here's my highest graded GA Action which is a recent pickup. I've always liked the Superman/tank covers. Another war cover off the list.
  8. Nice Whiz 10. Lots of underrated covers in the first 25 issues or so of that title.
  9. Thanks for the post! You raise a lot of good points here. Agreed. Finally, a post that covers all the hot button topics in the GA market in one lucid, skillfully drafted paragraph.
  10. There are many great Mystery Men covers, but #3 is the best IMO with a classic GA feel. Resto schmesto, that's a great pickup.
  11. Wow, sweet Action 76 & TEC 54. (thumbs u Where do you get these books anyway? I never see a new book you post and say "oh I remember that one from Heritage, Clink, etc" Is there some secret book swapping club I am purposely & hurtfully kept out of? It's a conspiracy, a conspiracy I tell you!!
  12. WOW, what a group shot. Five copies of Supes #1. Are you heading to WW Chicago after San Diego?
  13. Oh good, a mention of # 13. This is a perfect opportunity to show off my copy once again. whatthe
  14. You've really jump started this thread fishbone! Awesome books. The #7 is such a tough book and yours looks to be in nice shape. Your #17 looks fantastic as well. I think restoring your #10 would be something to look into. The right work could help conserve that book for years to come.
  15. Thanks Alton! I'm lucky you already found your copy. Otherwise I would have had to step aside and let you purchase this one. I know it's your grail book.
  16. That's a sharp-looking copy...what's bringing it down to a 3.5? I see some LRC rumpling, but man, that presents very well. Congrats, Brian! Thanks Jon. The LRC creasing plus an accumulation of small defects (staple tears, smudges, etc) on the front & back covers probably earn it the 3.5 technical grade. Though it does present nicely in hand. I'm real happy with it.
  17. My newest pickup: It took quite long time to find a decent copy of Action 48. But to me "the search" may be the most fun part of being a GA collector.
  18. Wow, 24 Golden Age Actions. Sweet run comicdonna! Some GREAT covers on that More Fun run Tec27kid. Very impressive collection.
  19. I'm penciling in my completion date somewhere around 2018. Maybe sooner if I ever find a #13.
  20. Thanks Alton & Matt. The back cover has some tape & a tear, but the front cover presents pretty well. It's been a long time since I added a book to my proposed Action run of 10-30 so it's nice to make an addition.
