  1. Just an excuse to bump this thread: Here's my copy of Supes #17 which I bought years ago not knowing the staples were replaced but still it presents well for a 3.0.
  2. Great write up FFB. Flessel truely is a legend and is work is just as incredible today as it was in the 40s. Sounds like a great guy too.
  3. Awesome Cap 1 ciorac. Might be the best combination key book/classic cover out there.
  4. Great books Primetime! I agree 1 & 2 are the best covers in the run. I don't see issue #2 very often, very cool.
  5. I figured my opinion wouldn't be shared by most. Just to clarify, MM #9 is the much more significant & rare book which makes it much more appealing than the HT #8, however just judging the cover images only I think they are about equally impressive.
  6. Wow Alton, are you venturing into pre-Robin TECs?
  7. Great pickup Surfer. I love that HT # 8 cover and think it could be designated a classic. Better than the HT #5 and every bit as good as MM #9 IMO.
  8. And knowing is half the battle. I remember the TEC 36 listing as well. I wonder why it had no mention of the resto? The TEC 37 was a real sweet copy. Great pickup to whoever got it.
  9. I love the AM #22 as well. What an awesome cover. Those nazi monsters would have taken over the world if it wasn't for Amazing-Man discovering their only weakness .... a swift punch to the groin.
  10. Awesome Matt! I'm glad your deal worked out and you got yourself an Action 39. Us Action war cover collectors know how tough that book is. Definitely the best looking copy of that issue I've seen as well. Great pickup.
  11. One of my favorites as well. I've always thought the best Marvel Mystery covers were ones that festured the Sub-Mariner. Great book.
  12. Wow Primetime, you know I'm already drooling over your Action 13, but I didn't know you had all those other great books. Awesome group shot.
  13. Great book Win. Can you offer any specifics on it? Such as resto work, page quality, how much you'd sell it to me for, etc? Omealia certianly had some great early Action covers didn't he? Awesome pickup!
  14. Neither book does much for me, but I'll have to lean towards the MM #1. I believe DC had a 2nd printing of TEC #2 on used toilet paper and I'd like to avoid those editions.
  15. Wow, more great books stagedoor! I agree with you on Sub-mariner #6, as it's one of my favorite Timely covers as well. Actually both Cap covers are up there on my favorite list also. All three are just awesome.
  16. Wow, pretty impressive to have the whole run of Funny Pages Arrow covers. Some really great covers in that run.
  17. Thanks guys for the kind words. I'm real happy with this book as I've always wanted an Action between 2-10, and the only way for me to afford this book is to get a restored copy. I'm happy it has no tape, no cleaning, & no trimming. I do still hope to find an Action #13 someday, but it's been such a long time looking that I've had to move on to other options.
  18. Wow Surfer What an awesome book. Did you sell your undercopy?
  19. Here's a purchase from last year that I've finally paid off. This was MAJOR purchase considering my limited comic budget, but I couldn't pass it up. I'm like a proud pappa with this one, and it's the next best thing to me finding my grail (Action #13). Here it is
  20. Action 25 for me. I've always wanted a Mile High Action, and this would fit the bill nicely.
  21. If Robin is the original, then in regards to Bucky & Timely I quote a wise old man... "Who's the more foolish: The fool, or the fool who follows him?"
  22. I couldn't pass up the Batman #1 as it's too cool a book. Now if the X-men #1 was a 9.9, I would have to reconsider.
