  1. Does anyone actually collect nyoka's ?? i kinda like them myself i don't own any but the reason i like them is becuase i know a girl who's real name is Nyoka... from Williamston Mi but of course she hates it and has always gone by Gail
  2. The 19 blank pages (and the accompanying article about the artist who produced the *spoon*) pretty much sums up most modern art these days...... it's nothing.......
  3. They ended up filming some of "Batman vs Superman" at the new modern art museum i was talking about in this thread (the Eli Broad Museum) The building itself is a work of art, the exhibits inside, which change often are invariably....... *spoon*
  4. someone should post a wall shot from the con ......... and be careful not to get busted photographing a hot cos-player from behind !
  5. Pay it forward and give him full asking price...no questions asked !
  6. Hi Andy Did you sell a comic or two that you were suprised to sell?
  7. No kidding Lazyboy! this thread is supposed to be about KEY comics ,the drek issue being mentioned is unworthy of this thread!
  8. I am finally going to wise up the next time i go to the motor city comic-con ... i always went on friday, took the day off and got in line at about 10:30 for the noon opening, still there are about 300 people in front of me and i don't actually get in until 12:45 or so. but i learned that when i leave about 4:30 there is nobody in line so this year i am going to get there at 4:30 probably get a parking spot half mile walk away but beats waiting in line .... $30.00 cover is pretty steep, inflation i guess, i don't pay much attention to cos players,... i don't even know who half of them are trying to be.
  9. The last con i went to,.. i certainly did not appreciate the guy who was sellings real swords and knives being there
  10. i'm trying to decide.... if i take up a different collectible which has less downside risk ? modern comic variants or collectible baby dolls dressed in Harley Davidson clothes ??
  11. "tin" was always one of my favorite comic book characters !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. it's bad enough that some poor smucks are paying the big premiums for variant covers but then they compound their error by getting them slabbed!
  13. i bought a pretty underwhelming CGC 1.0 graded Brave and the Bold #1 (but it really looks nice for the grade !)
  14. This is one of my main go to sites on the internet ! really good reading material in Comic General , Gold and Silver !! i have finally learned to stay away from the Water Cooler (very bad people there) and because of that and the new, effective ignore function,..these boards are better than ever!
  15. I loved the Flash Gil Kane run of issues ! i consider them it to be great ! But my favorite comic artist run of them all is the Wally Wood Daredevil run 1 thru 11 i think... - brilliant !!!
  16. Comics have increased in value so much that historically famous 19th century key coins (like the 1901-S Barber Quarter) are looking mighty cheap these days.....
