  1. My apologies to Hepcat as I have just read that Silver does both register and then crack out his books I was unaware of this until reading his above thread.
  2. Beautiful copy and even more so when compared to the one that recently sold
  3. You don't need a separate pass word to explore the registry , just type in: CGC registry at the top of your computer and click on the registry option which will bring you to the main CGC page, from there click the registry tab and at the bottom it says "explore the registry" start out by searching under the letter S and see Silvers great Superboy set.
  4. Congratulation Squeggs on your recent two new eBay Baker acquisitions
  5. Wow those last two classic Baker covers offered on eBay went for good money considering the low grade Cinderella Love #28 @ $305 and TAR #43 at $242 both appearing to be CGC 2.0 or so..... I can see why as they are two of the most MASTERFULLY drawn covers I have ever seen.
  6. Oh you have yet to peruse the CGC galleries Hepcat? Wow that is half the fun of this CGC website, searching for and finding those rare individual collections that people put their heart and soul into with both detailed descriptions and photo's, especially classic older sets.
  7. You are just kidding about cracking out the #2 slab right? Silver has in my opinion some of the finest affordable registry sets in the system, and probably some of the most interesting to read , I have learned more from reading Silver's Superboy registry set gallery than any other I have encountered. it is so informative that it has almost driven me to collect Superboy's. His Sugar and Spike registry set is amazing and inspires envy, and HAS driven me to start collecting them, although I fear I will never find the first two issues, if I do acquire those fist two issues ( regardless of grade if the are blue label/complete) I may get the first 20 issues CGC graded and start a registry myself although it would pale to Silvers collection.
  8. I loved Mad so much a kid,.. I used to get a nickel a day allowance or 35 cents a week, A Mad cost 40 cents back then so I would have to save part of my allowance from the week before but I never missed an issue from 1971 - 74 Loved the movie parodies the most !!
  9. I won the Strange Tales #4 and 16. Great job !! is Strange Tales the next complete run you are working on ? that would be an amazing accomplishment !!
  10. I wish I had an issue #2 even half as nice as that one !!! a true grail !!!
  11. Ok then....well the new Falcon is going to be white !!!!
  12. Nice ones !! SS war comics are seldom seen.
  13. Some nice 1950's war comics included in the group above !!!!
  14. I loved the first 20 issues of Sgt Fury ! great stories in some of those issues,.. mini-novels even, after that when Stan Lee stopped writing them i didn't like them as much and didn't enjoy reading them even though I have most of the issues from 21-70 (going to unload them all together someday ....soon)
  15. No pictures yet but just received my box of 15 comics back from CGC four days ago and I am looking at just one comic a day, I never look at my grades on-line,.. Its just like Christmas for 15 days in a row !!! Its so exciting knowing I have another comic to take out of the box to look at and examine and try and guess the grade each day for the next two weeks. Heck I waited three months to get them back, I certainly am not going to spoil the fun by looking at the grades on line in ten seconds or looking at them all at once in the box.... I really like the daily anticipation !!! so far: Brave and the Bold #22 CGC 7.5 (wow one of my better submissions ever!! ) even at cream to O/W,..and I bought it real cheap $15 I think War Adventures #4 CGC 6.0 (working on a registry set) Brave and the Bold #11 CGC 6.5 - very happy!! working on the 1-24 set House of Mystery #4 CGC 6.0 happy ! I did pay $140 for this one though
  16. Received by CGC 09/14/15 shipped back to me today 12/21/15 (I was home for the signature) !! PS I never look at the grades on-line and I only take one or sometimes two out of the box to look at each day ! gives me something to look foreword to every day for a couple weeks
  17. The cover of BA 12 to comics is what telly tubbies is to TV
  18. No key covers compare with the ugliness of either NM 98 or BA 12 I would throw them away if they weren't keys
  19. An issue #1 currently for sale on Ebay, looks to be a CGC 2.0 at best if graded, aggressively priced @ $500 to put it mildly
  20. I has to be the most gruesome war cover of all .........
  21. I never saw that #43 before ,..what a great cover !
  22. love hard to find golden age comics even if considered drek
