  1. Nice story... it takes a special mindset to sell things from ones youth, there needs to a major motivational factor... which i have... figure i can always buy most everything back in the future, but not the exact same issue though like you and your FF 52 !!
  2. I vote a tie for any Baker issue of - Cinderella Love, TAR, or Diary Secrets any and all of them.. all tied for first !! Love them vicariously as they sell either for too much or too fast (sad)
  3. i just love how when even a low grade comic comes back from CGC it usually looks so much better in the slab !!!
  4. i kinda regret my buying "Leave it Binky #1" because now i have to get issues 2-10
  5. Sqeggs, don't you completely regret buying that Sugar and Spike #1 CGC 1.0 ?? you know you are totally underwhelmed with that borderline GA purchase so when you realize you need to just dump that low grade drek ................
  6. We all have our own ideas of what is drek and what is not .. heck i am well aware that 1950's war comics are considered drek to the majority of the people on these boards. But the word drek is not deep enough to explain comics that are obviously well beyond drek, therefor i am proposing a new term for the modern slabbed comics for sale ad nauseam on the top of our new chat boards - puredrek these outlandish and overpriced moderns should now be referred to as : puredrek (noun: an overpriced modern slabbed comic so unappealing as to have a collector base that is nearly negligible) CGC/eBay please remove puredrek advertisements or replace them with non manufactured, collector based comics
  7. I wish the eBay ads above would mix it up and advertise the occasional, good old fashioned affordable mid-grade GA comic that actually has some collector appeal and value. Instead of the constant puredrek they show that assaults ones senses!
  8. Hey its working ! eBay has taken action and the overpriced moderns advertised at the top of the page are coming down in price ! ... of course it's still puredrek that i can't imagine anyone would be interested in at any price.......
  9. Arch Is there a way to ignore those ads?? please add an "overpriced slabbed modern drek advertisement" ignore function to these new boards !
  10. Everyone of those moderns shown above are such pure drek that it makes me lose my appetite, who would even pay a quarter of price they are asking?
  11. Agree with Kav,... It takes so much work to sell comics from that era and they have so little value that without the availability of a dumpster, one might actually have to pay good money to someone else to physically take 85 long boxes seeing how they are going to have to rent a U-haul and store the drek
  12. Thank you CGC ! i really appreciate your company ! i love CGC graded comics! i abhor branch ecch , they might as well be invisible.
  13. I am in favor of keeping the post count numbers as they always have been please do not remove post counts
  14. just a rip or did a piece come off? heck i would still get it graded if its just a rip !!
  15. they have not had any new listings i was interested in purchasing in two years........
