  1. Spent more than I'd planned this month (who doesn't know that feeling?), and pulled the trigger on this book yesterday. $435 BIN on ebay (I believe this one was a relist at a lower price). Did I get a good deal? The cover is a little spotty, but it seems like a nice price according to GPA. Plus, a presentable copy of this one has been on my want list for several years but I don't want to step up and pay the premium for a VF copy. Any thoughts from the peanut gallery? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6524870877&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 Methinks this book will mean that I'm out of the running on some of the pricier items in the next heritage sig auction. Ah well, can't get 'em all. Though I do have my wife's credit card numbers handy...
  2. I've put 100 page giants in standard sized mylite2s without any trouble, though I use a half-back on those as opposed to a full-back. Never have bought any silver-sized bags...yet...
  3. overkill. you'd just be spending extra money that's not really necessary. there was also a thread recently about how books can be damaged if you do that.
  4. Comicsupply, I've heard a number of forumites talk about putting their primo books in 4mil archive holders after they've already put them in a mylite2 with a fullback. If I'm using the standard size m2s, what size m4 do I need to make a good fit?
  5. No scans but I've picked up about 500 raw batmans and 'tecs this week! Mostly moderns and late bronze, so don't get too excited, but still very cool nonetheless....nice to look at two longboxes worth of stuff and go, "wow, those are all bat-books!" Plenty of reading to keep me busy.
  6. I don't bother with CBG. I flip through it occassionally at the LCS, am always disappointed it by, and never buy it. In terms of advertising your new company, Mark, I think your best bet is in comic forums like this one and a nice big full-color ad in the OS.
  7. Mega kudos goes out to finecomics for slogging through lord only knows how many dozens of longboxes of moderns in order to help me check off some Spectre appearances. Books were in the condition promised, and the price was right, too!
  8. Kudos to Sterling once again for picking up some my highgrade HOM slabs. I'm convinced he must have one of the finest HOM runs going at this point.
  9. I've never seen that one, FFB, very nice pick-up!
  10. I think Gaines is that serial killer they based the Psycho movies on.
  11. I saw that one! If I hadn't grabbed a VF All-Star from that auction, I'd have given you some competition. Very nice going!
  12. Yep, that one's a keeper, and a very sharp lookin' copy. Nice one, there.
  13. I guess all this Ace Posting inspired me to grab this one today from our very own Sfilosa, as I didn't have a single Ace pre-code in my collection. Till now! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6512426747&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT A little over guide, but it is the bethlehem copy and a neat cover. Thanks SF!!
  14. Any idea as to the grades on that cache of 1958 copies of If the Devil Would Talk? That post-auction Heritage copy of the Stalin book is awesome (a slabbed 9.8!), but with an asking price at over 4k I can't even think about it.
  15. Here's a trio of 60's Black Magics that I'm purty proud of...
  16. Recent Bethlehem book that I bought from Metro this month. Seems been I've been working on my HG Black Magic run FOREVER, and still no end in sight!
  17. 28. Been collecting GA since my teens, but more serious about it in the past five years or so.
  18. Fresh from the Heritage auction. I saved my pennies for this one for awhile.
