  1. Not scarce. The whole series is a fun read and worth picking up but not for more than $5 a pop.
  2. It only took this long because I don't see the thread until this morning-killer price! Where else are you gonna get an Everett cover in 9.4 this cheap?!!
  3. Great pickup on that CoC 23. That book still has a lot of room to blow up. It's the fourth Harvey "gore key" with ToT 15, WT 25 and Black Cat 50, and still only now getting the recognition it deserves! Congrats to buyer and seller.
  4. EC war had so many great covers it's hard to chose a favorite, but Davis here on Two Fisted 30 is the boss for me:
  5. Only four covers featured racial slurs, and 3 of those were from Farrell (Ace Pubs had the fourth). Robot posted Battle Report earlier, here are the other two Farrells. I've felt for a while that these are under appreciated (like War 11 was for so long).
  6. For gory flamethrower covers though it's War #11 and War Fury #1:
  7. Battle Cry had two flamethrower covers. While #1 is more dramatic, #15 packs quite a punch too. My copies of each:
  8. This my favorite Cole cover, and a recent pickup here on the boards, currently winging its way toward me:
  9. I hadn't seen this book in over 5 years, and was afraid that it had gotten lost in the multiple moves that I've made. However, I found it this past weekend after finally starting the Herculean task of organizing my garage. This is the result of many San Diego Comiccons, many War Dinners, and a couple of risky nail biting mailing sessions where I hoped that the USPS wouldn't wreck the book. But here it is, my first copy of the Pedrin Big 5 guide, and a few signatures you guys might recognize...
  10. I'm with you on liking this one. VERY much a departure for ACG. They stayed away from real horror and most of their covers look like post-code Atlas. I have 3 copies of this one, and keep upgrading a little with each one. Tough to find above fine in my experience.
  11. Congrats-I love all the cool books that are being sold this weekend!
  12. This was a fun thread to watch-congrats on the sales, congrats to the buyers, and way to finish big with a couple of entry level copies of some serious books!
  13. Congrats-you're off to a great start with a lot of keys there!
  14. The Pit of Horror story is killer too by Sekowsky. I used to have the original art to the complete story so it's luckily one that still exists.
  15. No, this one came from another source. With only one in the census, I grabbed it as soon as I had the chance!
  16. I can't let Jack's 100th birthday go by without some Kirby love in this thread. Here's one of his most powerful covers: Foxhole #1 from October, 1954.
  17. I'm happy to have this tough beauty headed my way:
  18. Way back in 1985 my dad and I went to my first comic book convention in Atlanta. That year I feel in love with Flash Comics, especially the ones with Hawkman covers. I've always wanted a decent copy of #2, the first Hawkman cover and this week the opportunity finally presented itself. 1985 Me is very happy right now:
