  1. There's that other scammer with signed posters of Marvel covers "signed by Stan"; what garbage, brings down the whole industry, hope these guys take a hit in some form eventually.
  2. Ill take Mariannne & Ginger ! Right, but the question is, 'wholesome' Marianne or 'badgirl' Ginger?
  3. There are some like Nick Fury Shield 10 or Marv Team Up 1 I only remember because they were featured in these: But don't recall what issues were reprinted in which Treasury. Try this place for more precise issue title & #s. https://comiccoverage.typepad.com/comic_coverage/2006/12/cover_to_cover__2.html
  4. The mean and median are closing in on each other. And your guess is right at the median, how freaky is that?
  5. Used that as my avatar for a while. Different forum. Second fave cover after the "Ghoul Queen" by Frazetta.
  6. Don't think you find precisely what you want in just one thread- people start many many threads about ebay ranging across every topic you mention. Even a few with conversation about the best time of year to sell using traffic as a metric (perhaps even time of day). here are a couple that you might find useful: <<https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/388611-ebay-the-ebay-official-ebay-thread-ebay/?tab=comments#comment-9115376>> <<https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/429855-how-do-you-protect-yourself-as-a-seller-on-ebay/?tab=comments#comment-10135805>> Also you should try the SEARCH box, type "ebay" and then check a couple of boxes like "This Forum Only' (in GENERAL), and 'Content Title Only' to get a long list of threads with feebay in the thread title. Also a good idea to spend some time researching techniques used by other sellers in this Golden/Silver/Bronze Selling forum, imitate the sellers you like, and you might have success to sell some comics here; featuring things like lower fees, well-informed buyers, snarky replies if you tweak the right nose. <<https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/61-goldensilverbronze-age-only/>> The RULZ list (rules you must follow to sell here) is a thread stickied at the top of the sub-forum called Comics Market - Forum Only Selling Area. Good luck !
  7. I can see why they yank a thread to prevent problems that crop up before the OP can address the issue. Couldn’t the mods lock the thread and then unlock it when the OP agrees to correct it? Makes a lot more sense than discarding the OPs work One problem if you don't 'disappear' the thread is that, e.g., the CBC$ or PGX comic is still there listed for buyers to see, which undermines a major effect of deleting the thread - not letting members sell that type of graded book. If thread just locked, buyers could PM the seller to buy the book. Other rules might also be skipped in the same way (oh, I see they locked your thread and I still want to buy your comic, I will pay the 3% surcharge, tell me your paypal . . .).
  8. Cool. I'm in mid-50s and since a kid have always wrongly thought of those as 'cranes.' Uneducated knuckleheads, heh.
  9. ^ Your cool picture of the coins with those cranes on top. !
  10. Yeah man, may be a relative noob, but your style is pretty inimitable. You'd have to be a real good schizo to also be Wolvie.
  11. Geez. You mean we were supposed to think before we guessed?
  12. Sounds more like (legal) information arbitrage, which is not quite the same thing. Unless the info came from an actual "insider," in which case Andy should go to jail.
  13. It's a pretty big place, Texas. : P ; )
  14. I couldn't care less what he charges. He can charge whatever he wants, as can anyone but he admits on page 2 of the thread that he's not looking for a chat forum. He's only here to pimp his wares and his one attempt to do so was a shtty one that you'd likely see from an ebay seller who has no idea what he's doing. eff him. Actually not. That was the first impression, but then he liked all the posts that constructively gave him advice on how to peruse the forum and start anew with a better sales thread. I am not saying we should encourage sloppiness or nonchalance, but definitely "piling on" (and not in a humorous way) does not help. Plus, if one wants to behave in a "jerky" way, this quickly shows as a lack of care/respect, so a gentle ribbing from the "vets" is all it takes to make sure he reacts & makes a negative impression to begin with. That’s the "newbie" choice. Up to him. Just happened by this same comic listed on obay, it turns out this FF Special 6 comic was listed on greedbay since Dec 1, so another rule ignored. Not to pick at a scab, rather just because it's accurate information and I recognized the comic and the assigned grade while shopping. I chuckled when I saw that his shillbay opening bid was 25 lower than he asked for here, heh, plus feebay takes its final value rate. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fantastic-Four-King-Size-Annual-6-Hot-Book-4-5-VG-1968-1st-Annihilus/292843301497?hash=item442ed22a79:g:yeQAAOSw175cCfuf#viTabs_0
  15. ^ and shipping is much easier now, plus it often qualifies for a discount, and my trips to post office to ship are much more infrequent. All those comparison based on ebay several years ago vs today. My own sense after listing here a few times as what I will always be, a perennial noob, is that I'm better off just selling on feebay, despite the negatives. Though imo, long-established boardies often can do 'better' here, I agree with that.
  16. Probably old news, but just, wow - FF 49 setting new heights, even in low and mid grades.
  17. RE: Drive by sales thread that assumes CGC shoppers are suckers. [FF Ann 6 in 4.5 or nicer $175, one scan of book in wrinkly bag] I agree with Cliff R not to drive away members here to participate. I completely disagree with Cliff R that the new poster who joined to try to sell his FF Ann 6 showed any sign that he is here to participate. Though I tried to delete my offending post in the thread (I commented that I thought it was exorbitant price) since I agree that thread krapping is lame and my opinion of his pricing is irrelevant.
