  1. Should've rounded down on the Marvel Tales - equivocated about the how hard back cover stain would reduce.
  2. I'm considering flipping a coin on each, since can't decide whether to go up or down with my guess-range.
  3. Any and all guesses and estimations welcome
  4. 6.0 And think your other copy is lesser, at 5.5.
  5. Me too, VF easy, chance of 8.5 as it is, maybe higher? With angled glare shots could tell better - for squarebounds, scans alone are tougher. Since there's a grading-contest in town, I'd hazard guess that (often low-ball anyway) PGM estimates are a bit tighter. Great book!
  6. Sorry for late reply, just two smaller items this year, a raw and a slabbed: Strange Adventures 110 [bought from Dale Robert's thread a couple of years ago, graded at 3.5 that I agree with] OR $50 paypal transfer Shipped/Cash sent WORLDWIDE CGC 9.2 Marvel Collector Item Classics #3 (featuring FF4 and ST110 reprints, but unreadable in a slab so I'll include a raw copy in decent shape) OR $50 paypal transfer Shipped US ONLY/Cash sent WORLDWIDE
  7. Wilco! specific to Conan, or just marvel bronze in general ? Btw, I appreciate the kind feedback you left me. And one more quick Q, ...ushein or gator-ok ? Send me a PM if you'd like nice copies of Conan 120-126 at no charge (just thanks to a boardie for the wave).
  8. Had my eyes on that DC horror and some war too - some great, e.g. Wrightson and the warbook grey tones are attractive and I've picked up a few of them here & there as well, just because. But haven't taken full plunge like creating want lists yet, and hoping I can resist that tendency and remain focused. Just kind of nibble on the genres not part of my 'core' stuff.
  9. Oh yes sir, trying to anyway. Over past few years since re-activating, I sold maybe 3 long boxes worth and bought (only) 2 short boxes worth. I just want to do the same thing a couple of more times (sell ~750, buy ~220) - at this rate, another six years and I'll have thinned down to my keepers - my estimate is 20 short but I'll probably exceed that a bit. It's very challenging even limiting myself to mostly marvel silver & bronze - plus I've opened door to golden age, an entirely new era for me. And you might recall I bought a couple of ECs from you, and those two comics are not alone . . .
  10. Down to about 14 short and 8 long boxes (incl. three boxes worth of 'extra' copies I still gotta sell), and a 2-3 boxes each of mags and cgcs.
  11. Good strategy to round up for keys on account of the 'bump.' At least, that was my rationale for 2.0 guess. Like you I now feel I should have gone with my gut at 1.8, heh. But I forget the rule of tape and when that rule changed - in retrospect should have assumed the grade must reflect that piece was fully detached since it wasn't a visible defect or noted on the label (we only knew it because Andy told us).
  12. I thought the NM98 lost for micro tear at top of spine since my copy didn't have same defect. Plus the spine stresses. Oops.
  13. Andy's post-round emoji's are legit - but like reading tea leaves, you need experience and good intuition to interpret them, and even then still stand a chance of misinterpreting them. But you won't get a "yay" if you got both -1s, and won't get a "cry" if your guesses were double-bulls.
  14. I fit about 110 with boards/bags. So if you figure thickness of each TPB book to be just slightly thicker than two comics.
  15. Cool listing. ! In another life (where I didn't have all the inventory he listed but the top keys and DC, and still found selling comics to be fun) . . .
  16. The most appropriate place is probably WTB if you're less worried about buying high while selling low. But a sales thread in G/S/B saying you want to trade, always with a "buy it now" price could do better since it typically shows more traffic. You can set BINs well above-mkt if your preference is to trade books(s) in one shot, not getting wrapped up in selling then buying which often doubles the transaction costs (including potential hassles). Congrats on the run of ASM! I stopped at 441, though of course I grabbed a few versions of 700 and many of the issues between.
  17. These two sum up my reaction - but glad you found the means for both! Spiderman will probably remain a very popular character, and ASM still has plenty of run collectors too. And unless supply is particularly low, it's demand that drives the price increases. Then again, I'm a Spiderman fan.
  18. I'll come back to you by PM Mike, too few really.
  19. [Double cover pair] Great, I don't own any double covers, finally a reason to hit you up! Take please Rob. Now if Lizzie could just post something I need.
