I like the way the new censor-filter just erases the offending word and doesn't replace it with the *spoon* text.

I thought the Classics Ill would sit, couldn't have been more wrong, the right buyer came along. And I think War books or things like Tarzans Gold Key are probably even less in demand than Western. But certainly don't go by me (I have just a handful of Kid Colt). Once you get over the whole ego/waste of time thing & that no one showed up at your party, it's a breeze (took me my first few crickets threads, and I still hesitate).

Glad to be the first to post my thanks to Pablo. Bought 4 golden age books, they arrived very quickly, and securely packaged, and the books are at least as nice as described. My thanks !!

I blew it, just realized I have this one (64). Will take it gladly, but needn't be a pig if someone needs it.- 293 replies

Official 2017 CGC Chat Boards Holiday Gift Exchange Sign-Up
grebal replied to HollyJollyOne's topic in Comics General
Secret Santa. Heh. No seriously, what gives on that, elves been talking trash? Mass telepathy? nm, I have a guess, the Sharon-help-out grapevine ? -
Really impressed and thrilled by those top-end items that've been posted here. My three (sorry the Wonder 13 is part-covered), though at heart I'm a bit happier at my 3 new silvers, FF 4, TTA 27, & TOS 39 (latter two each with a bit of marker and glue, or to be pejorative: slight resto- but on the bright side actually slight, not extensive that somehow is called slight these days).

So, bad choice of example?
-
A popular example (not director obviously) was Mike "Mr. Mom" Keaton as the Batman. And personally I found Snyder's gratuitous gore in Watchmen excessive, but loved the source material so much found a way to get by it.

Probably yes for fans of lens flares. ; )

Looking for a Stan Lee signed Amazing Spiderman 21
grebal replied to Zanga's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
My 2 cents to add - getting a new Stan Lee sig is an iffy plan, his more recent sigs (the past couple of years at least) have appeared either poorly written and/or poorly placed on the covers. So getting a reasonable looking/placed sig already present has added value in light of the uncertainty of what you might get if you took the long route.- 14 replies
