  1. You don't need the special icon. Simply say "take" while also identifying the book you claim.
  2. Amazing, clink included a back scan of the Marvel Comics 1 ending tomorrow, currently at around 50,000 in GD+ (a pretty VG looking book with a lousy back, as sweet as it gets for that kind of 'economy' book).
  3. Optimistic view - as a buyer I also now worry about shill bidding which according to some is far more prevalent than even my suspicious inner voice thinks.
  4. ^ I heard some people don't even read the posts anymore, just type out their own replies.
  5. hey bud, it happens at both end of the spectrum. tough crowd for the lower end books as well as top-end - loboagain posted dozens of high grade horror magazines, beauties, and only just now sold a couple.
  6. Hey, I'll take it, sir, thanks. Just crossed over the line with this TTA 27 with binder holes refilled and magic marker along spine for an inch.
  7. Bought a few slabs from an earlier round, and they arrived today, very securely packaged, and sent unexpectedly fast. Thanks to both Steve and his fellow Floridian !
  8. Another order from RFO, I came back for a reason, nice books, as described. Shipped quickly and securely packaged. Thanks sir!
  9. Is that from general caution, or to protect from a particular risk you'd like to share ?
  10. Last we he sold an ASM 50 (one of his specialties apparently) at $427 for the copy that he bought from me two months earlier for 160. After the cost of the restoration he does ok. Suckers and restoration-friendly-collectors buy his stuff and his high-count feedback is 'flawless'. I blocked him from my listings (not that I have much else for his ilk) because I think he's the second worst kind of sleazebucket (the first obviously the outright thief, is worse than the trickster). His sale as "super high grade" Mine sold in Sept as a low VG
  11. You probably already have a copy, but this nice copy frees up a lower grade copy I'd be happy to send you at no charge, particularly since you admire the work. Just shoot me a pm. And probably also have lows of 1 & 3 also (still no better than 3.5s, probably worse, I forget) same deal, just take em since you're a fan.
  12. Yeah, last year this seller gave me the 'can't find the Star Wars 1' bs excuse because I got a good deal. Think it was $20 or 30 cheaper than the market and I got lucky. That type of reneging is even more bothersome to me than the 'the new movie news price hike means I listed it too low' type of jerk. You're right to be bothered, but as one boardie mentioned, best to move on and not sweat it too much. Last week finally bought a Star Wars 1 at great price from greg reece's thread, but it has a popped staple. Heh.
  13. Master of Kung-Fu #19 CGC 9.4 $125 Jim Starlin & Paul Gulacy That's a beautiful book - I'm always looking to learn, you figure the Jim Starlin sig was as creator of Shang MKF in SME 15?
  14. Quick note- I took the Warlock 2 pretty quickly, but not sure it was updated. Sorry SkOw. Oh, also pretty sure you labeled one Creatures on Loose 10 when it is actually #16.
  15. Great deals, man, thanks again. Reminds me of old days, box diving on a budget, where my eyes were always bigger than my wallet/needs list. Taking just to take. ; )
  16. Geez, and I was doing so well at sending out more than I've been taking in. oh well. Dr. Strange 6 Hulk 203 Machine Man 6, 7, 8 Peter Parker SSM Annual 1 Son of Satan 5 (rt copy), 6 (either copy), 7, 8 Think that's 10 more to add to the 15 already taken. So another +$30, if I understand correctly.
  17. Agreed, thanks man. With the extra cardboard I can only get 2 books.
  18. ^Yup, you sell to different buyers for the stuff I'm talking about. For that, I let them pay up if they like, but they don't. For slabs and high grades or high dollar books I package differently. The point of the mailer was responsive to claim that you can't send 3 book at first class, but I don't mind your change of topic, it's just non-responsive to the point.
  19. I suspect not for a $13 free shipping mid grade comic.
  20. Not in a box, but routinely send out 3-4 comics like in the pic (regular-sized, mostly with bag/boards) for under 16 oz first class, even with a layer of bubblewrap, although I did have to buy those mailers (around 70 cents). The one in the pic is over a lb. because more books in there.
