  1. Agreed, and remember folks, this is the "COMICS MARKET" forum, and even if you decide to sell Playboy or SI mags, I would imagine these should go in a hypothetical "MAGAZINE Marketplace" to start.
  2. I think this qualifies as the Lamest Post of 2009...
  3. Sure, if self-deleted IDs are valid.
  4. Someone add Bug and Hammer back into 2002.
  5. Add in awe4one, tkg2627 and scottish to the Class of 2002 as well.

  7. Post the two Direct copies again, as I only see images of the Direct and Newsstand comics.
  8. But where's the scan of this "second copy"? I only saw the newsstand one, not the correctly-priced Direct version, which does not make it a price variant (since the covers are different) no matter what the indicia says. So, is there an actual regular-priced Direct copy to make this $0.00 copy a price variant? So you did know you're in the wrong forum.
  9. "And take yer shirt off while ya do it... "
  10. You know, I cannot believe that after CS pulled all that fraudulent BS, that he's not being added to the list. If people like this escape punishment, then it kinda makes the probation list meaningless.
  11. On another topic, can someone get banned for CONSTANT sales thread transgressions? I refer to Trey Cannon, a doofus of epic proportions, whose threads continually break forum rules, including his latest one, which I just noticed was already deleted before I could even read it. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3266246#Post3266246
  12. But that's not what we're taking about, as these were clearly outlined longbox lots (era, average condition, company, original source, etc.), where the seller committed lie after lie after lie concerning the description.
  13. "Drawing lines in the sand against me over this is probably something you'll wish you hadn't done someday."
  14. 1) If so, then why did buyers get water-damaged comics? 2) You are stating that Filter is a liar and CS is telling the truth. 3) You don't take into consideration the Heroes Inc "filler" from the free case. The main point here is that the longboxes were grossly misrepresented, and CS used Filter's name and rep as a basis to fraudulently sell these. These longboxes, by CS's own admission were NOT "unopened" and NOT "the same as Adam sent me" and NOT sold "for the same price I got them for". The best one was that the longbox would include at least 300 1970's Marvel/DC books "of nearly every title from that era."
  15. That's the real question, does lie after lie after lie in your sales thread warrant the Probation List? Nothing CS said about the longboxes was close to the truth, but he still did deliver a "longbox" with "some comics" in it. What's the call on this type of scam?
  16. Agreed, but buying unsearched BA longboxes for $100 each, cherry picking them, and then selling them off for $150 (*exactly* what he paid? WTF!) each? Wow, that cherry picking must have really increased the per-box value, huh?
  17. Definitely, as it not only misrepresents the longbox contents, but also portrays Adam as the real scam artist. CS used Filter as a selling tool, as everyone knows he's above board, and also a fall guy when buyers opened up their junk. This is obviously why Filter chose to post the truth, as he may have been getting PMs from irate buyers.
  18. Not to mention where the other FIVE boxes went to. That's why I estimated 6-7 longboxes worth sold or withheld.
  19. This whole thing stinks to high heaven. You sell CS a TWENTY-longbox lot for $100 a box, toss in a Heroes Inc case for free, then he miraculously comes on selling FIFTEEN boxes, supposedly unsearched and for the "same price I bought them at" of $150 a box. Do the math people, and CS obviously cherry-picked the 20 longboxes, sold off or kept about 6-7 of them (as Filter81 has confirmed), used the Heroes Inc to extend this to 15 longboxes full, then resold the remaining junk for MORE than he bought the original 20 longboxes for. This is bad news, and from claims in his sales thread, this is an obvious scam perpetrated on the forum faithful.
  20. Other than "the original price was exaggerated by $50 a box", I think that summed it up pretty well.
  21. There are just too many scams and rip-offs going on around here lately.
