  1. You're welcome Alexander. Here's a good site to check the 'on sale' dates for comics - it lists comics for most of the main publishers by cover date but also separately by 'on sale' date using industry data and physical examples. It can be very helpful when researching things: http://www.mikesamazingworld.com/mikes/features/comic.php?comicid=44083# Click on the little magnifying symbol for the source of the DD #1's on sale date and you'll see it's only a few days away from the date stamped on the graded copy above:
  2. Books tended to be printed and distributed around three months prior to their cover dates back in the day so this one is spot on.
  3. I'd be surprised if the stamped cents copies ever outnumbered the UKPVs but I'm often surprised in this hobby. Keep us posted. Not a TEE&PEE stamp, but still interesting...
  4. They're out there, Rich. Bloody things hide for years and then up they pop without a by your leave to confound expectations. See also Harvey 15c variants!
  5. Well this'll learn me - a new 15c variant, and for a title that I'd previously assessed as unlikely to bear 15 cent fruit! Baby Huey #98 - hooray! Who'd've thunk it Here she be, next to the 20 cee: Found in England again, and it's a previously UK distributed title, just to further cement my UK related existence theory. We have 33 confirmed issues across 14 titles now: I've been looking again at the indicia situation with the September cover dated books and I think it is a near certainty that the two missing #54s will show up at some point as 15cvs. I also think the July dated Richie Rich Riches #1 will surface too, given the presence of the variant indicia on the 11th page of the regular 25c version. I've put a clearer table together to illustrate that point which I'll post soon. I'm not as sure on some of the missing April-June books at this point as there are still some regular issue indicias that I need to check and some of them aren't that easy to come across in the UK. I have a parcel on the way from MCS which should help The appearance of Baby Huey is unexpected, given the absence of any previous issues in the 15cv window, and it raises the prospect of some of the others appearing. Never say never again!
  6. Tell us more, Mac, about these UK variants. I've never even heard of them
  7. Yes, #13 I meant. I kept your list and still look for stamped copies of these every so often, especially when the auction houses pop up original owner collections. The longer the absences go on though....
  8. The US Dondi, he haff no price! The UK Dondi he haff a price!
  9. And extra log in step has appeared too Dena - the new one below takes you to the usual one, so we're signing in twice:
  10. I'll come with you in this little orange background number And a wig.

If I ask another question, will you promise to come back in 2026 with an answer Andy?
  12. I like that he slags off price variants as TRIVIAL in his reply to my letter some years back: Dear Steve, Your question is shit mate! Regards.
  13. Is that 3.7 for the actual books plus 10.0 for the post production acetate covers?
