  1. Brian was real close. It received a 5.0. I just did not see the amount of accumulated defects that would bring this down to 5.
  2. The secret sorrow is that subscription fold that breaks color from her ring finger down to the bottom (BARELY visible). I wish I could upload a large file size so you could really get a better image....
  3. Fantastic! Think it'll grade that high with the roughed/impacted base? I got a TAR40 back from CGC last year that I thought was going to earn about the same (6 - 7) and they didn't seem to think so. Here, what do you think?
  4. Striking colors and that autograph is really special. I'm gonna have to add this book to my want list...
  5. Would it be inappropriate to ask what the grader notes are on the restoration of that Action 7 on Comiclink right now? Or should I upgrade my membership level for the one time I might actually use that feature?
  6. Really great cover. Don't know how she'll survive...
  7. That TAR is a great example of two types of tape and their aging effect. I would have taped it on the inside, not outside of a cover. Pull the staples too, and set the tape underneath.
  8. I'm in agreement that tape shouldn't be used on that book, but I have a few great looking low grade Bakers where the spines are completely split.
  9. Depends on the tape, I suppose. As long as it doesn't turn the paper yellow - you could buy some archival stuff. Although, if you used archival tape, would CGC then grade it as amateur restoration?
  10. Here's a copy of an ex-Joanna book:
  11. Unspeakably jealous of that GCE12! Just keep in mind that the interiors vary from issue to issue so you've likely got a one-of-a-kind!
  12. She really helped me out several years back getting some super nice Bakers, and I notice that apparently this is her forum topic.
  13. My first submission 39 came back 4.0. I bought the copy on ebay from Bakerfan last year. It looks slightly better and I intend on getting it graded soon.
  14. Oh my! With Off-white pages too!!!
  15. Please add set: Blue Ribbon Comics (St. John) Issues #1-6. Set: Approved Comics (St. John) Issues #1-12. Set: Giant Comics Editions (St. John) Issues #1-16, and NN (17) Set: Romantic Marriage (St. John) Issues #18-24
  16. Set: Flash Gordon (1965-1982) Book: Flash Gordon #1 (1966) Complimentary Variant Set: Going Steady Book: Going Steady #14 Set: Diary Secrets Books: REMOVE #4, 5, 7 and 9 (my cert of #4: 0258930006 is actually a Blue Ribbon Comics #4. Diary Secrets begins with issue #10) Book: ADD #NN (there is a very rare oversized Diary Secrets with no number. I am sorry that I don't have a copy to give you the cert for)
  17. I was fortunate to pick up the TAR11 3.0 on the census. I sold a xerox cover/complete interior to a guy who may have bought that incomplete copy (but with the cover) on ebay a few weeks ago. TAR9 is my kryptonite, and I had to pay over 600 for the 2.0 on Heritage. I should have just paid 3k for the 8.0 on ebay several months back. Nice TAR45!
  18. I wish the seller would list them in the "modern" comic category so that it wouldn't show up on filtered "golden age" results. Did it appear that the scanner/reprinter edited any of the scans? Like cleaning up markings and balancing colors? I'd pick up a copy if they made it look pretty.
  19. I think this one is tougher to find than the TAT4.
  20. I am "some dude"! I didn't think it was that rare, but I didn't have a copy...
  21. That doesn't look like Baker to me. It does look like Colletta though.
  22. That TAT4 is mine!!! I am jealous about your recent TAR/DS wins. Both of those looked pretty nice.
