I love a good description. I want to know why they bought the page/image. You might enjoy my descriptions. I claim that they are the best on the CAF. Here's an example.

Alex, that Superman daily is really a great example WOW surprised Roy Liechtenstein didn't use any of the 3 panels for one of his paintings, each one has a completely POP art feel to em!

    What a beautiful daily.

People should collect whatever they want and pay whatever yields enjoyment, but old man Williams wishes that artistic merit mattered more in the hobby today.

No need to worry there are MANY of us that feel the exact same way. When a page by Johnny Journeyman sell for about 2/3rds that of a true artistic legend, I just scratch my head and shrug. I wouldn’t take 10 J Journeyman pages for 1 page by Mr Legend.

There was a time where those pages were placed in a correct price relation, but that is no longer the case.

Looks like all the paintings are already finished! If you scroll down halfway you’ll start seeing the illustrations. From the image they show the size is a bit smaller than a comic book. Most are single figure with no background some do have a hint of a background.

I have to give it to him for getting these completed in a timely manner were the buyer won’t have to wait long for their painting!

  4. I like how your podcast episodes are like a web with the interconnecting stories... this one can be a nice companion to go with the Scott Free, Scott Williams and Albert Moy episode playlist.  These  really capture the collecting scene from the 80-90s... now where's my timemachine! I feel the affection that everyone has for Richard Martines, a nice, fun guy with a great perspective on the hobby... he gives our hobby a good name!

    Thanks Felix!!!
