  1. Let me be the first to say it... "I was the underbidder on that one." ; )
  2. Crushing news, I never met George because his loyal fans were lined up for miles to have a moment with him at a con, but from a distance you could see the love he had for his fans and they had for him! Im sure I would have quickly fell in line with those singing his praises of his great warmth and kindness, BUT I can say he is one heck of an artist that will inspire me and future generations of artists with his incredible artistic prowess for many many years to come! George has inspired and entertained us more than he would ever know. My heart breaks over his situation.
  3. Great podcast Felix.. nice to hear from the regulars again and Yo - a good addition, but Lambert will need to teach him how to bust Andy's chops a bit ; ) The discussion of the younger collectors' focus was interesting, they are definitively doing their own thing with a thought process completely different from the old guard. The more the merrier! Thanks for doing these Felix!
  4. In today’s world the sale would be- We are only increasing our art prices 50% sale, hurry now before we double our prices!
  5. Respect! A LOT of inspiration in them there books, you might just create a monster artist that none of us can afford to collect ; )
  6. Ok we have the birther collectors with their pedal to the medal throwing bags of cash at the first appearance of Hedgehog-Man! Are there tombstone collectors out there, that focus on the last breath pages?
  7. Should be a BWS record price. Seems like the previous CL cover being originally a slash page it wouldn’t be as coveted as the original group of Marvel Presents covers. Of the original covers this one is my favorite and as an added bonus ol Logan is wearing his fancy helmet. If there’s a claws out tax imagine the tax for the purdy wolvie tech hat …Cha Ching!!!
  8. Wait is this the official HA auction thread?!? If it is, you know November is when the cash falls like rain, it'll be a doozy. However what they currently have posted is pretty sub par for HA, it'll be interesting to see how much better their offerings will get.
  9. At this point if you had a nice Byrne X-Men page to sell, would you cut out the middle man and go directly to Mr. Liefeld?
  10. I was way over on my guess… I thought this would go quite a bit higher. This is why when friends ask me for valuation opinions I am starting to decline because who the heck know values in this market?!?
  11. Anyone knows what’s the oldest Detective (Batman) or Action Ccmics (Superman) known to exist?
  12. Don’t wait, it’s another good one… nice to hear from another collector with a different point of view. Good stories as always, Felix you’re the best!
  13. These strips are cool on two fronts, the historical space race aspect and the collaboration of two artistic giants Kirby/Wood. Wow! That’s a wonderful addition and a great description.
  14. You probably recovered by saying I love your movies, especially…. shoot what it’s name…. umm.. shoot… umm… and then act like someone called your name and give a fake wave in walk in their imaginary direction. At least that’s how it would have went down if it were me : )
  15. Sometimes you can get satisfaction in finding artists with the similar vibe as the one you collect. Once an artist gets popular other artists start riffing on that style, might be fun and less expensive to get you feet wet with one of those guys… nothing beats the real thing tho.
  16. Dunno can’t think of many more Byrne X-Men pages I’d rather have… PLUS a KEY page to the Wolverine history, Canada wants his hero back is a big part of the Wolverine story. This is soooo an A level page in my book, BUT I’m not a high roller who could drive the price up.
  17. Don’t forget X-Men 109 is the first appearance of Weapon Alpha. So you get a birth issue tax, a Wolverine tax and finally the claws out tax. Think about this… is this page worth 3x a Larsen AMS panel page? In the old days you’d say heck yeah… nowadays?!? This will be a wild auction!
  18. If the link doesn’t work it appears to be on CAF if you search Byrne. It’s in an upcoming Comiclink auction. I think it’ll be a new record for a Byrne X-Men panel page…hard to top that one!

  20. Very nice you're getting close to checking em ALL off! IF that happens, what's next?
