They show up nearly twice the size of my laptop screen for me. Insert confused gremlin here. I am not sure what happened to it.

The scans don't enlarge so that you can see the books?
I clicked twice and they enlarge for me.

I had a GA Action rejected for the same reason. II believe books with a moderate to severe overhang are rejected because it's harder to stabilize in the slab, and if the book shifts, it can become damaged much easier than a book with little or no overhang.

Keep the thread civil or I will shut it down.

Had a submission show up on their tracking page yesterday (a drop-off from Joey) and now it's gone. Anyone else experiencing this?
Apparently, you are not alone.

Has anyone ever come away from a purchase from Marnin thinking "I totally got a deal"?
Marnin's prices were high but, his grading was fair. I purchased an Action #28 Detroit Trolley from him as a fine minus. I sent it to CGC in the tier that I paid for the book. When it was graded CGC called me and said it graded a 7.0 and wanted more money.

I guess you must not be paying too much attention as I believe we just saw one posted here earlier:
I can appreciate where you're coming from; some books appear to be nicer than their assigned grade. But I'm sure there's a reason this book received a 7.0 instead of a higher grade.
Yep, It's one thing for someone to post a front cover scan of a book that has a large chunk out of the cover and is graded a 9.0 You can see the grade and a defect. But, to post a 7.0 with a flawless front cover scan and no back cover scan, it doesn't mean the book is under graded. A back cover scan, and possibly a scan of the spine may be needed to show it is under graded.
@thirdgreenham's last grading contest had a book that looked 9.0 from the front and back cover scan. It graded a 2.0 or less. The spine was completely split, and Andy didn't even notice when he sent it in.

Just debating if I should centralize all my keys into an easy to grab box
Mine were in CGC boxes. The handles allowed me to carry 2 each trip. Without handles, I would not have been able to balance the 2 boxes so, I recommend those.

Yeah, I made 2 trips back inside. It definitely wasn't safe.
Is there anything you do with your collection differently now that this happened?
No. It was just one of those unforeseen things in life.

That was a bad day. Am I misremembering or did you go back in to grab a box of comics and barely make it back out? I was just a lurker back then and remember feeling for you when I read your initial post. I remember thinking the cliche but true saying of "you guys made it out, possessions can be replaced but people can't" and being glad you guys got out. But still, bad day.
Yeah, I made 2 trips back inside. It definitely wasn't safe.

Still seems a bit uncouth to sell here, since you know the situation. I'll gladly reimburse you for what you paid you what you paid for it on Ebay
It's his book and he could do what he wants. Given that you nominated him for probation even though he did no wrong, and your posts in this thread, I would not sell to you at all if I was him.

Also I thought it was board policy that you couldn't pm people until a certain post count was achieved ....
If not that might be worth (re)instating
That may have been the case before the software change. This is something else that could be brought up to admins, and see if there is a fix, requiring at least 1 post before being able to PM someone. .

I have banned several id's with the same MO ie "A friend has a book" Like skypinkblu said, it's in everyone's best interest to report the PM post.

Can someone in a nutshell explain the reason the Detroit Trolley books were not designated an 'official' pedigree again?
I think it was partially because they were purchased in batches from the family, in combination with being dispersed into collections, some slabbed, and there was no notation on the label. By the time CGC became more lenient in naming pedigrees and adding to their list, I think they felt it was too hard to distinguish these books as Detroit Trolleys. At the time of release, I remember seeing numerous books that had a similar L that were not Trolley books. There was Marnin's list but, he wasn't on great terms with CGC at the time.
