  1. I would have liked to see a continuation of DS9. Only, I'm in the minority.
  2. Back in the day, next to issue #1, this was probably the most coveted Star Log book to have. Finally found a really high grade copy. Too bad the seller decided to send the thing in a mailing envelope with no cardboard backing
  3. Zod's suit throughout the entire MoS movie was CGI. Turned out great and proves it can done right if you have a crew that knows what they're doing.
  4. I have a set of the original run. Was one of my favorite comics back in day and was really surprised when it was cancelled. Very refreshing to have a character so openly religious as well.
  5. I already had these books and wasn't looking for another set, but the condition was really good (best I've seen thus far) so I decided to upgrade. Nice companion to my reader copies. Also, it was fairly cheap.
  6. http://www.metropolisplus.com/dc100page/ Or if you want to go directly to the checklist: http://www.metropolisplus.com/dc100page/The%20Whole%20Enchilada!.htm
  7. Kevin Smith said it really well. When you can get a mega star like Robert Redford to say "Hail Hydra" on the big screen, you know have finally arrived [speaking as a comic book geek].
  8. I've got a 9.0, but this copy presents much better and certainly has better eye appeal. Nice acquisition. Can't believe how expensive this book is. Despite the nice cover and scarcity in high grades, it's still just book of reprints.
  9. Just came in today. More BA goodness. Before the internet, this was my primary source of upcoming sci-fi/superhero movie info. Ah, the memories.
  10. Yes! You can still find deals for $3 a book! Of course, it really helps if you can find a seller that doesn't really care about comics.
  11. Got this over at the Mag section as well. Really stoked to finally get a decent copy of MH#1 cheap.
  12. I'm a little fatigued with Zombie related films or stories. Enough is enough for me.
  13. Woot. A boost to my copies of Brave and the Bold #80.
  14. I'm sorry, but did I miss something? Isn't Cat supposed to be "hot"? For God's sake, give that woman a cheeseburger! Flockhart's always been on the waif side. I've seen pics of her actually being worse. I still think she's anorexic no matter what her PR team says.
  15. Yeah, I thought the mask looked just awful when we finally got to see it. The cheesiness almost undid all the realism the previous look setup. Now, I'm glad they're not not going with a cowl, but at the same time I don't want DD to look like he's wearing a battle helmet either.
  16. For those of you who still followed Conan in the late '90s, do you recall what killed interest in this character? Was it just it lousy writing or art work? Buscema was still the artist when this final SSoC issue came out. When I left the hobby the first time, Conan was right up there with Spidey and Wolverine in terms of popularity with multiple running titles per month. It was a real shock when I came back to the hobby in 2012 that Marvel wasn't even involved any more.
  17. Plus a period piece would cross over nicely with the X-Men 1st Class timeframe as well.
  18. Yeah. Next to issue 24, issue 11 is probably my favorite of the run.
  19. A nice (and really cheap) pick up. A bit better sweet as when I left comics back in the early '80s, the sword and sorcery genre was something I'd thought would never die. At least not for Marvel anyway. I'm still astounded the interest level went so low that Marvel eventually lost the license. The end of the run (all the other failed attempts by Marvel don't count).
  20. Heh. I can imagine the same discussions taking place if Tim Burton's idiotic Superman Lives actually got made. It's never a good thing when you disrespect the source material.
  21. Awesome copy. Better looking than my 9.6 W. Astounded that this book is not more popular than it is.
