  1. The art in issue 117 is very, very nice. So much more detail since they brought an inker on board.
  2. Best episode in a loooong time. Needed a break from all the prison .
  3. Not from the Miracleman Series, but Totleben slipped in a tribute to Miracleman & V on this page from Moore's unpublished Lux Brevis. The page was drawn in 1985, prior to Totleben starting his Olympus arc. The art for the rest of the story is here - you can read it all since Totleben wrote the -script text into the word balloons. http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=147807
  4. Eric Powell has said it is not Goon, but an early prototype in interviews. It's definitely a worthwhile pickup for Goon fans, with a Franky "prototype" in the story as well. Thanks for setting me straight! (thumbs u No prob! The book typically goes for $50 to $100 - I think it was limited to 1000 copies.

  6. I was tipped to buy the 2nd print back in like February-March. At one point they were selling for $20-25. I think I have one left, so I can only hope. Maybe it will bump back up to $10-15 if the word gets out. That 2nd print is the one to jump on I think. But both versions of that issue are definitely worth a pick up.
  7. I know it's not the for sale thread, but I've got a Deodato Miracleman Triumphant page for sale: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1030516 I'll go hide in the shadows now.
  8. That book appears to be shilled which is sad because as a Scud fan I need that book and because I was hoping it was a real trend of sorts. But sadly it doesn't seem to be that way. I sold one of those variants 4-5 years ago for 175. It's pretty darn hard to find.
  9. I wonder if the variant of Last of Us: American Dreams #1 that came with the LE editions of the game will pick up. It's still sticking at 15 bucks in most auctions.
  10. Big Hero 6's first appearance - it's Sunfire & Big Hero 6 #1 vs. Alpha Flight vol. 2 #17 (their first chronological appearance, but it was delayed) - what's the list verdict? Alpha Flight 17 is a lot harder to find (or seems to be), it is the team's first story, and it's written/drawn by the creators of the team. I tend to lean to at AF 17, but it was delayed a few months (Dec 1998), so Sunfire & Big Hero 6 #1 came out first (Sept 1998).
  11. May be too old to be Modern (1995), but it's the Wizard Ace Edition Cover of CreeD #1. Always loved Trent Kaniuga's style: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=6771
  12. Congrats on the Powell cover, but HOLY SMOKES you have a lot of great art in your Gallery Thanks! A lot of time and effort there.
  13. Not necessarily modern (late copper?) but pertaining to a major modern character and artist. Got this in last week - the cover to Best Cellars #1, Eric Powell's first published comic art, and the first appearance of Monster Boy, a Goon Prototype (and a character fans used to argue was the Goon): Best Cellars #1 is super hard to find itself (around 1,000 copies printed), stoked to grab this piece of art. 14. I love the TV Gov. So much better than the one from the comics/Road to Woodbury books. Even like him more than Rick at times, he seems a bit more reasonable.
  15. Agreed. If Woodbury goes away, I'd love Martinez to join Rick's group too. He's a reasonably decent human being in the Road to Woodbury book.
  16. I agree with this line of thinking. Milton's a smart guy and puts faith in observables and data. I really hope he doesn't die, I think he makes an amazing addition to the cast. Hated him at first, but now he's grown on me.
  17. Went to Senoia, Ga (the town that doubles as Woodbury) for a bed and breakfast weekend and to see some of the sets. Very worthwhile getaway if you live within a few hours driving distance. The town gets really into it, and there's some good food. Also, the town that doubles as Rick/Morgan's hometown is nearby (man, they really didn't have to do much to get that one to look like a walker-infested place), the school from season 2, and a lot of other sites.
  18. Keep this stuff coming! It works over here better than the OA board IMO.
  19. Yep - 2nd cover appearance. The Van Sciver 129 cover is out there...somewhere. Kind of a shame he wasn't on the cover of 128.
  20. I'll jump in to since Peter's in - Cover to an upcoming issue of Scarlet Spider by Max Fiumara: Temporary return of Jean Grey during AvX #12: A nice Fantomex: Pia Guerra Art for the Y: The Last Man Finale Party Litho: And some little kid crying after leaving a prison (who cries after leaving a prison?): More stuff here: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerydetail.asp?gcat=6771 - Keith
