  1. The article goes on to say it's not Rick, but does say: "one of the darkest moments in Rick Grimes' life, and one of the most violent and brutal things to happen within the pages of this series," That can't be good for Andrea or ...... maybe Carl?!? Can't wait! After what happened in issue 98 with Carl walking in on a little something, I really think Carl might flip out or put Rick in a situation where he is forced to choose between Carl and Andrea. Post-brain trauma Carl seems to see things a little more clearly - maybe he thinks it just not worth living anymore? Carl sort of stunts the growth of the book - he's an eternal nine to ten year-old.
  2. It's certainly a more realistic looking version. Rick looks a little like Bo Duke from Dukes of Hazzard. Maybe the Duke Boys and the General Lee show up in issue 100? Kirkman is from Kentucky...
  3. Agreed - it would be nice if it was a WD 100 variant instead.
  4. He sold the #98 cover last week for $1,750, as well as the cover to #65 (which is my first cover ) Jim Yep - apparently I'm an evil human (to some people) for selling my walking dead covers to buy something else.
  5. This is almost biblical. Where's Bill Murray when you need him...
  6. I'm gonna get my loved ones a Quitely broach this holiday season.
  7. That was listed yesterday, after #98 was released, and it became quite clear that that was NOT Daryl Dixon on the cover. Hence the decision to sell, I guess. But it also makes the title and description suggesting Daryl's first appearance a bit misleading. Hope the buyer didn't buy it thinking he was getting something he wasn't. And just for those lazy forum people out there - that link is to the SOLD cover of issue 102 - for....wait for it........ ........ $2100.00 - yes, two thousand one hundred dollars. I forget exactly, but wasnt that cover $700 6 months ago on splash? More power to the seller! It was 1200 - it sold really quickly.
  8. The line about a certain someone showing up in the tv series?
  9. Something to do with the last few pages. I think you don't get the end, only beginning pages again....or something You're right - I saw this on Worthpoint: "Pages 1 through 8 have been duplicated along with pages 25 through 32 ("Mail" letter pages).[...] (P) ages containing appearances of the Governor in the "corrected" copy do NOT appear anywhere in the misprinted copy." http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/walking-dead-27-1st-governor-misprint-238766101 No Governor pages in his first appearance - crazy error!
  10. How did Adlard do the background? Did he print off a photo reference like some of the other covers or is it free hand?
  11. I don't see Abraham as untouchable at. He's always in the back of my mind as the next one to day, zombie-fodder. I don't think he'll appear in the series since there isn't a lot of depth to the character - maybe Eugene gets introduced to push a plot point, but I'm not sure about Abraham.
  12. Could 99 be the issue where the event takes place? Image updated their site with this blurb about the issue: "SOMETHING TO FEAR" CONTINUES! The unthinkable happens, as we all gear up for next month's monumental issue 100! http://www.imagecomics.com/comics/4870/The-Walking-Dead-99
  13. Good point - just like the prison conclusion in 48 vs. 50.
  14. I'm guessing one of the four if it's "officially" going to go unused.
  15. A new cover popped up on Splashpage - the unused cover for 95: http://www.splashpageart.com/Featured.asp?Piece=24052 I wonder if it sheds a light on who *might* be passing in issue 100 - it would make for a cool variant cover if not.
  16. I agree - it's a very nice insight into comic opinions at the time, and permanently removing it would be foolish.
  17. I made the mistake of renting Ankle Biters, a horrible 2002 horror movie, one night with some friends. Here's the trailer if you want to torture yourself. If Walking Dead heads down this road by issue 150...
  18. Mullet torture? I'm in like a Prep school kid running for president. Wait...
  19. So...does this work as the breakdown to the last page of 97? Spoilers!
