  1. I don't think so. Graded books are still a niche. The general comic collector buys primarily raws/readers. When you buy those, you're looking for the book and not the grade.
  2. If you're talking about me, I'm not "uptight", I just don't understand the premise of a discussion being led by, "There is no way I'm going to send it to CGC to get a 4.5 label." I'm also inherently against doing work for others that can be done themselves. As a 13-year member of these forums, you should know what data is publicly available to you, and use it to form the same opinion that everyone who doesn't work for PGX has.
  3. I don't understand the purpose of this topic. You already said: "I have a FF#1 that is a PGX 5.5. There is no way I'm going to send it to CGC to get a 4.5 label. " Then, I told you that CGC sells for more, and quicker. Then, you claim that there isn't data to support that. Then, I provide data that does. Then, you make the above post... JUST RESEARCH THE INFORMATION. You're telling me that you've been a member of this site for 13 years and haven't figured out that PGX isn't a decent competitor for CGC..?
  4. Okay. Fantastic Four #48 PGX 6.0 sold for $958. Fantastic Four #48 CGC 5.0 sold for $1,325. Yosemite?
  5. You can perform the research yourself. Recently on eBay, Fantastic Four #52 in 9.0 has sold for $3,700 graded by PGX, and $6,300 graded by CGC. A raw Fantastic Four #52 in alleged 9.0 sold for more than PGX did @ $3,750. Did you ask your peers to do your homework in K-12, too..?
  6. Venom v Carnage v Spider-Man v Batman v Superman v Critics v Fans v Expectations: Dawn of Maximum Carnage with No Political Justice OR Venom: Dranzer
  7. Oh, so again, risk it being graded correctly...
  8. Why not? The CGC label looks so much nicer than the PGX label, and CGC's grade is likely more accurate to the book's condition (despite condition being very subjective). Also, if you ever plan on selling it, a CGC 4.5 will net you more $$$$$ than a PGX 5.5. It will probably sell faster, too.
  9. I'm also in favor of including him on the Probation List. Sellers here have given me a lot of time to get funds together for purchases. If we (buyers) don't honor the tickets, then I think sellers will hesitate to hold books for (arbitrary time length) a week+.
  10. There are only 195/206 (depending on your definition) sovereign nations in the world, so their 'hype' isn't even correct. Losers.
  11. I don't care if the movie is done quickly. I care that it's done correctly. WB/Worlds of DC needed to focus on The Flash, Cyborg, and Green Lantern Corps before Wonder Woman 84. I couldn't care less about another WW prequel. 1 was enough.
  12. Why? Black Panther is infinitely more interesting than Black Widow.
  13. None of my top labels are covered in plastic, so I don't think that's any indication of tampering. Does the book look to be the grade given? Does the signature look legitimate (compare to same artist on other SS books)? It doesn't look obviously tampered to me.
  14. I won't dispute that. When discussing CGC's promotion of the case clarity, though, I think that the production intent has to be considered. They green-lit better and "more clear" materials. So their cases are more clear, but the material mating causes light interference that we don't want. I'm not sure what kind of verification they did, if any at all (IMO they should have), but most places with composite material production has some sort of Materials/Quality Engineer on-staff to oversee these types of operations. It's possible that all they did was verify the outer case and its' clarity from the source (typical protocol). After that, though, they should have gone through an assembly run. Maybe this process yielded no Newton Ring results. I find that unlikely. Maybe the results were minimal and within subjective visual tolerance. Idk. We may never know. I don't think they're being purposefully misleading with the clarity of their cases, though. Another .
  15. Newton Rings do not obscure the clarity of the plastic material. In fact, Newton Rings are an undesired result of the co-material transparency.
  16. Did WWE produce this..? Should be a worldwide ban. Dranzer.
  17. He almost looks like a live-action Ghost Rider now. No makeup or CGI necessary!
  18. Ant-Man at least has power. Black Widow is just an attractive "spy". The Ant-Man movies weren't "highly" anticipated by me, but that 1st Ant-Man trailer was so f^&*ing good. AM&TW was too close to Infinity War for me to get hyped. With everything that the Russo Bros did in The Winter Solider, I fail to see how another spy thriller in the MCU can draw interest. It's already been done, and with better supporting characters (Rogers and Barnes). The further that the MCU delves into the cosmic elements, the less interesting normal human characters become. Black Widow and Hawkeye are so boring and useless. Just kill them off already. The fact that Thanos didn't murder Romanoff in Wakanda is puzzling. Even Falcon is borderline boring. And I don't want to keep seeing "flashback" movies. We're getting some 90's SHIELD in Captain Marvel. That's fine. I don't want to see more past timelines because it doesn't affect the future of the MCU. I'm interested in what's happening now. Edit: Elizabeth Olsen is hotter than Scarlett Johansson. Scarlet Witch movie would be better.
  19. "PayPal" emails me every week saying something like, "there is problem in ur account" or, "action requireed without acount info". Their English sucks, and every time I respond with, "You need to correct my foot not being in your @$$". I don't think that I've ever seen a professional brand/company email me using poor English. They tend to proofread their messages. If you see even a single spelling, grammar, or punctuation error then it's likely from a scammer.
  20. Who the hell is touching their junk when taking a 'wicked yes'..? I wash my hands out of courtesy in public, but at home, I have no legitimate reason to.
  21. Easily the least interesting movie ever announced for the MCU. Until any details emerge I will have literally no interest. Black Widow, despite being a good human character, is entirely useless to me in the MCU. The fact that The Avengers have "weak ones" is so laughable. I hate it.
  22. Well, to be fair, Disney/Marvel Studios spent $1 billion (total, not just CGI) on both Avengers: Infinity War and 4. The movie includes the most realistic-looking CGI characters that I've ever seen (Thanos and Ebony Maw). For a new standalone movie, the CGI was good in Black Panther, but it was relatively weak for modern technology. It was better than The Last Jedi, though. I haven't even complained about TLJ's CGI because the story was so bad that the underwhelming CGI doesn't matter after that fact. Edit: As far as Black Panther 2 goes, I gave the first one a 4.75/5, and saw it 3 times in theaters. The only thing that I disliked was the treatment of Ulysses Klaue.
