  1. "I wrote you this sexy hook..." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOjAHlUZfPc
  2. This is a situation that I would 100% agree with not selling. In the case the OP brings, the buyer (and seller) is just hosting a lottery/raffle for a book. Just sounds like a legitimate business idea that seemingly works. In the case that you bring up, the buyer/seller is defrauding potential buyers by purposefully omitting critical collection information. IMO that is not kosher and I would personally never sell to that person (among other things...).
  3. 1. I haven't overreacted to anything. I'm not obsessed with the "turd in the wind" line. It is a poor inclusion to an otherwise decent trailer, though. Someone wanted to push their POV on "comedy" and it fell 100% flat. Not a good sign when people are saying the movie seems heavily comedy-oriented. 2. It hasn't influenced my outlook on the entire Venom movie. That's such an obsessive overreaction to my comment(s) that I can't even dignify it with a retort. 3. I don't see how Sony can be planning any sequels when Marvel Studios will be taking over (hopefully) shortly. This movie won't do well enough or be good enough for the MCU to carry-on any additional solo ventures. 4. Trailers exist to garner hype. It's supposed to give potential audiences a good insight into what the movie will 'speak to', look like, and "feel". If it doesn't give you any preconceptions for the property then i'm not sure why you'd bother watching them. Just go to movies based off of their titles, I guess.
  4. 1. I don't come here to be redirected to other sites' articles. 2. A PG-13 cut of Deadpool is pointless. I've seen Deadpool on TV and the cuts are garbage.
  5. If 1 person has ever wanted to punch me in the face, isn't that already more than the amount of people that want to punch a cat in the face..? Don't most people in their lives have other people wanting to punch them in the face at some point, for something that they've said/done, or otherwise..?
  6. A non-Spider-Man titular Venom movie, not released by Disney, would have been best suited as an R-rated horror movie. This was a huge opportunity missed by Sony. Under Disney, I don't expect there to be a solo Venom movie, and I don't think they'll ever distribute an R-rated MCU film (I don't think Disney does any R-rated films). I'm a fan of the Venom character, and I still want to be optimistic about this movie, but the "turd in the wind" end to Trailer 2 and the current dialogue of the movie being "comedy-heavy" have me so down. I very rarely tend to agree with the Critic Rating on RT. The Force Awakens might be the last movie that I liked in which critics favorably reviewed. My family and I usually get excited about movies when critics ____ on them (Fan4stic not included). Venom could follow that trend, but it's looking more and more unlikely.
  7. Do we know who the last pre-Code and first Code comics were for DC? Or even specifically Action, Detective, Superman, and Batman (since those are the 4 collections I'm expanding the most)? Thank you for your reply.
  8. If you keep calling me Bosco, then you can say hello to my Ignore List. My name isn't Bosco and I'm not this other user. Don't be (insert censored term here). I don't dislike Venom, and I haven't seen the movie yet to say whether it's good or bad. It's just cute that you're hyping up such a seemingly lukewarm movie. It just looks like it's going to be bad. If they didn't cast Tom Hardy (or another great actor) then I would certainly be expecting something awful. You have to be looking through symbiote-colored glasses to think otherwise at this point.
  9. I don't have any problems with the buyer's own selling tactics. As long as you're happy with the sale between yourself and this person then I don't see the problem. His raffle is something new to me, and if the buyers have $10 to potentially waste, it's no worse than buying a $10 lottery ticket.
  10. Please be kind to my n00b presence... What are the last pre-Code and first Code comic books (if that information is known/available)?
  11. TMI. I'll only know Bosco as, 'the guy Jaydogrules thinks I am because the Venom movie probably sucks', and Costanza's PIN.
  12. I also agree that outside of the "Best Wishes" signatures, they all appear to be fake.
  13. OMG I hope not. My expectations are low, but it can't be that bad, can it..? With Tom Hardy? No... No... No, it can't be...
  14. Wh... I don't even have a follow-up question. I just don't understand. Well, at least now I understand that Bosco was another board member.
  15. He seems to have the same outlook with Venom as my younger brother does with Star Wars, "I'll like it no matter what they do!" He'll probably blame "Russian Trolls" if the movie makes < $50 million during the opening weekend and has poor audience scores.
  16. Who the hell is Bosco? Costanza's card PIN?
  17. I spent a half hour talking to one of the 2 owners at my LCS yesterday. I'm hoping that I run into him (forgot to catch his name, like an insufficiently_thoughtful_person) every time I walk in, because I've interacted with the other gentleman, and he doesn't really improve the atmosphere. I totally understand the pull of a good personality and vibe in attracting customers.
  18. I knew Jaydogrules would jerk the movie off no matter how "bad" it seems. I almost want to hate this movie just because of him. If they omitted the "turd in the wind" portion of the 2nd trailer I might be much more optimistic.
  19. I just bought Man of Steel Vol. 2 #2-6 at my LCS, and am trying to avoid paying $5 shipping on a $4 book (#1) to start reading the run lol...
  20. The MCU has an excellent track record. Infinity War proved that, despite the regurgitation that they have a "formula", the MCU is more than capable of flexing their chops. Despite a movie like Doctor Strange being too similar in origin to Iron Man, it was still an extremely different movie in nature, and IMO it's amazing. Venom in the hands of Marvel Studios would do nothing but good things for the character. If Sony can't get it right and make an R-rated horror movie of the solo property, then they need to stop.
