  1. I disagree. More than 1 Newton Ring, however, is excessive.
  2. Or that there are supposed to be 2 "e"s; not 2 "a"s...
  3. I've never seen it spelled that way before. My bad.
  4. There are previous-generation cases that aren't welded as securely as they currently are. I think you would know if it's been replaced.
  5. I actually got The Man of Steel #1 yesterday to complete the Vol. 2 run. I love it when a seller ships a single raw reader so protected. Had cardboard + "Fragile"/"Do Not Bend" about 15 times on the envelope. I think I paid $6 total for the comic and shipping from Florida. Is that DC #474 in a slab!? Because it looks "protected" to some degree based on the thickness of the package. I would think a raw survives this?
  6. WRONG FORUM, YOU DINGUS. I'd give it a 2.5, but I'm not good at grading, yet...
  7. Book 2. I take the least amount of front cover defects, since that's the money side.
  8. I love Affleck's Batman. His character was kinda nerfed by Whedon's in Justice League. I'd love to see a trilogy where he trains a new Batman and officially retires (or dies?). For me, Batman and Superman are ideally around the same age. It would be tough for Affleck, 15 years older than Cavill, to keep up with this Superman in appearance. It would be tough to make it seem like they're both equal parts of the JL, too. I don't want Affleck and his character to just disappear without any reason.
  9. I'm not talking about Mark Ruffalo. I'm talking about the Disney insider that claims he's pissed off Marvel Studios by leaking the alleged official name of Avengers: Annihilation.
  10. The title has now been leaked as Avengers: Annihilation. It has also been "leaked" that it begins 5 years after The Snap. Will there ever be another movie with so much discussion and speculation?
  11. Played Magic last night with a few guys that saw the movie and enjoyed it. Still trying to keep expectations super low to hopefully enjoy the movie even more myself. One of the reasons that I hate Civil War a lot, is because the theatrical BvS cut was so 'meh'. I expected CW to absolutely blow it away, and it ended up being more of the same, but with no stakes. After that, I have really tried to temper expectations for most movies. I think that's part of why Infinity War blew my mind and is one of my favorite movies. I wanted it to be a 10, was expecting/hoping an 8 because of the scope of the film and characters, and it ended up being an 11. I'm expecting Venom to be a 5 or 6 (or 2.5-3/5). Hopefully that works in the movie's favor.
  12. I'm 99.99% sure that I read this in one of the forum guidelines. IIRC, it said something along the lines of, "redacting 'I'll take it!' will result in Probation/HOS." People: If you haven't budgeted correctly or are not 100% sure that you're financially able to purchase a book, do not claim the book. Sellers give buyers a fair time frame to both work out a deal, and time to get your cash together. Be responsible and don't shaft other buyers, and sellers, out of transactions. If you don't adhere to my above rant then I will b%^&* slap you.
  13. Idk if you're very 'out of the loop', but Snyder was fired about 18 months ago...*** I am not sure if Wan's style would benefit a solo Superman film, but he could have been a good choice to direct Batman. However, Matt Reeves is already at that helm... I could see Wan getting the next Justice League movie if the visuals for Aquaman are as good as they appear in the previews. ***He remains as a Producer on some films that he still has creative involvement. That includes Aquaman, Wonder Woman 1984, The Flash, and Cyborg.
  14. 1. It is not necessary to have them graded by a professional. Typically, having a comic graded depends on how significant and in-demand the book is. Grading costs can be significant, so slabbing a comic worth <$100 often wouldn't "make sense". Anything worth $500+ I would certainly put a lot of thought into getting it graded, because it validates a comic's condition, among other things. 2. I highly suggest getting any truly valuable comics graded by CGC, because of the professionals, CGC-graded books demand the most cash. They are the most respected brand in the business. 3. For comics not being graded (aka "raw" comics), typically some photos of both sides of the cover suffice. Maybe a couple of inside pages to verify the color/quality. If you aren't good at grading, then this will give customers an idea of "Very Good"/"Fine"/etc. Just state that you do not know how to grade a comic, and that the buyer must assume the condition based on the photos. 4. I just read the part of 1983 being probably the earliest in this collection, which means that there aren't likely many in this collection worth being graded. I could be wrong. Unsigned Modern books don't often have a ton of individual value from my experience. 5. I would definitely catalog your entire collection. Trust no one; help no one. If you don't do this, and a shop worker spots a big $$$$$ book, many people would think more than twice about ripping off some lady. Money motivates the world, and the world is full of insufficiently_thoughtful_persons and losers, even in this great hobby.
  15. I display mine through the door-wall at my apartment behind UV glass to invite losers to B&E me in the hopes that I can murder people in self-defense.
  16. What are those cool cases on the top shelf? I wanna get some for non-graded books!
  17. I freakin' hate people. What is your eBay? I'm gonna start trying to shop from sellers here that are getting shafted by losers, to give you guys some more good business.
  18. Dranzer must have graded Lanny's books. Dranzer's inconsistency is legendary.
  19. I wonder if there'll be a flashback of Carol's parents buying her something at Toys 'R' Us in Captain Marvel, then...
  20. Audience scores are looking good through the weekend. Looks like it's worth seeing. Expectations still very low. Tom Hardy is always a good watch and draw (again, a great casting can do a lot for a potentially poor movie). I'll probably see it next Monday. Can I ask for no spoilers in this thread? I'd like to gauge everyone's "score" without some potential surprises being ruined.
  21. Gotta say, I was very 50/50 about seeing this in theaters. I will be seeing this without a doubt, now. That freaking suit at the end... I seriously teared up.
  22. It could be anything, but I'm still going with End Game. Highly doubt "Finale".
