  3. they both look great! what OA is that hanging on the wall behind them? OA...I wish! Its an Action #684 cover recreation done by a fellow boardie member. I thought it was Action 684, I was like "man, what an OA cover to have" either way looks like you've got a cool collecting room going on there. (thumbs u

  5. I bet if you asked 100 random comic fans what the firs appearance of the Joker was they wouldn't know. I think many people forget that it's the first Joker and first Catwoman, to me that isn't the first think people think of when they think of a Bats 1. The movie hype may help a random high end sale but I doubt it is going to impact a 1.0 or .5 sale at all. When the 1989 Batman movie hit there was an upswing in high end price because non collectors wanted the bat books, that isn't going to happen with low end copies. I think overall the movies have little to no impact on value. James G although I don't believe GA books value increases are dependent on movie hype, I do remember when "Dark Knight" was in theaters, Batman #1 had an uptick in prices across all grades including restored copies, so I feel we will see more of the same to some degree with the upcoming DC movie projects.

  7. sweet, 1 and 4 are the stars, while 2 and 3 are afterthoughts.. will be fun to watch.
  8. since the fight happens in issue #4, will that issue see any movement, or will collectors only care about issue number 1 of the series as is usually the case?
  9. love this! my LCS guy sold out of that one in no time, so it's the secondary market for me. Unless you are looking to get an exclusive version, you can still order it direct from Sideshow: http://www.sideshowtoy.com/collectibles/dc-comics-superman-sideshow-collectibles-300215/ yeah, forgot about ordering one direct from Sideshow. thanks.

  12. when I saw this one at my LCS on display in person, I had to have one, got a great deal on it and a low number as well 92/4000. Sideshow Premium format Catwoman.
  13. WOW, 1st Huntress is hot. way to go cd4ever. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-Super-Stars-17-9-0-VF-NM-First-Appearance-Huntress-1st-Green-Arrow-Legion-/121540470858?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item1c4c60684a&nma=true&si=0N3x0A3jkqxdpHi16JEhciv0f1o%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  14. You're saying there are not two different colour schemes from the publisher? Absent any definitive record from Sparta or DC that there were two printings, yes, I'm saying that the color differences people are pointing to here are the result of different scanning setups and/or different ink levels on press that day. The light blue can shift easily by either of those issues from blue to grey and even a greenish tint.
  15. not unless it was a book I wanted for myself, and the price was fair. I've passed on alot of overpriced stuff in LCS.
  16. this copy sold for $25k, which I thought was a strong price for an Ext. P. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Batman-1-6-0-R-Fine-DC-1940-Golden-Age-Holy-Grail-JLA-C4-161-cm-/291161223979?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43ca8fb32b&nma=true&si=cZfIQ%252BnOLpGNt49eEQIdRUjKIU0%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
