  4. in keeping with Disney's new "female friendly" Star Wars, it will be revealed that Chewbacca is female, and the SW Christmas special (where he had a wife and family) is no longer canon.

  8. first the rules: Paypal or Money Order accepted. US shipping is free. Canada and everywhere else shipping at cost, I declare full value on customs forms First I'll Take It in the thread wins, so if we agree to something via PM it is not final until the "I'll Take It" is posted in the thread. This just eliminates all potential problems. I reserve the right not to sell to anyone on my do not deal with list. Payment expected within three days of request. Return Policy -No Returns on CGC Graded Books barring some extraordinary circumstances. -Raw books can be returned within 1 week of receipt (Notify me of intent to return within 1 week of receipt, and then ship within 1 week after notification). If return is due to an error on my part, i.e. missed restoration, detached centerfold, or something like that then I will refund full amount including shipping and pay for return shipping. If return is due to a disagreement over grade, or buyer's remorse then buyer pays return shipping
  9. I've had a few copies over the years, and realy enjoy owning one, however, not having Superman and Batman on the cover doesn't help the book.
  10. yeah, I've never understood why WB went "all in" on Zack Synder, I mean, one or two movies, fine. but to give him the keys to the entire DC kingdom is ridiculous. I'm hoping to like the movie, but always wonder what "could have been.
  11. I remember that 1st wrap to Action #1 you had Mike.
  12. I would say Superman #1 would be there before too long. probably 2-3 years from now.
  13. don't know what your budget is, but you could take a stab at this one on Heritage. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/superhero/batman-1-dc-1940-cgc-qualified-gd-18-off-white-to-white-pages/a/7169-91020.s?ic2=mytracked-lotspage-lotlinks-12202013&tab=MyTrackedLots-101116
  14. well, before Gator or any other more knowledgeable boardies show up. I'll take a stab at it. this coverless, trimmed, married copy sold on Heritage back in August of this year for $8,962.50. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/batman-1-coverless-trimmed-married-dc-1940-cgc-no-grade-slightly-brittle-pages/a/7166-91047.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515 I would guess that a nice complete coverless, that has no other issues like married pages, trimming, tape, resto, etc. would be around $12k. as to price per point, I would say that would vary widely depending on eye appeal, if we are just talking unrestored (blue) label books, I would estimate that a nice presenting, complete blue label CGC 1.0 with decent eye appeal would be in the $30-$40k range. again, just a guess.
  15. Actually, collector's here bring up that fact about Batman #1 all the time (1st Joker, 1st Catwoman), the books got a lot of things going for it. Superman #1 is the first time ever an entire book was devoted to only one character, plus an expanded 2 page origin story and one of the most iconic covers ever. Also much rarer than Batman #1, especially in unrestored condition. I like both books.
  16. I just looked up Batman #127 and man that is crazy! Thor the Thundergod! Marvel, the house of (stolen) ideas. LOL!!
  17. isn't this the way it's always been? at least for the past 10 years or so.
