  4. Wow! That's the highest graded CGC copy posted yet on this thread I believe! How deeply are you into the remainder of the Silver Age Green Lantern run?
  5. Overall the art isn't as slick as you find in the DC war books from the late fifties and on. Generally just one out of the four stories in each book is pencilled by Lee Elias. What's really interesting though is that the stories in Warfront aren't gung-ho "war is a picnic" ones like the ones in Sgt. Fury for example. The feature character of the stories is actually killed sometimes. The stories therefore don't necessarily have happy endings and the Americans don't win every encounter.
  6. It's one of my all-time favourites as well. Julius Schwartz must have been prejudiced aginst dalmatians to keep them off any other cover.
  7. Hopefully the *^@%^&% that sent the kids to those camps ended up good and solidly interned themselves for those actions.
  8. Has Strange Adventures now joined the ranks of titles that have fallen into disfavour? If so, I'll take that as my cue to parade out scans of some of mine.
  9. That's a very old newspaper headline - I hope. I'd like to read one some day proclaiming "Ouster of All Politicians Near!" Many fabulous pictures in this thread though. (thumbs u
  10. I agree with you about Lee Elias. He's a much underrated artist. I vacillated about posting those Warfronts since this is, after all, the Silver Age forum and those are pre-code books.
  11. Here are scans from my collection of some seldomnly seen Warfront books: I love the cover references to Red lice!
  12. Here are scans of three more of my Turok books: 26 28 29
  13. Here are scans of a few of my Indian Chief books: 10 13 14
  14. Here I am preparing to regrade my Atom run: And here I am settling down to regrade my Hawkman run:
  15. Fooled another one. And better yet you scored some fabulous books!
  16. Here are scans of three of my Sgt. Rock books:
  17. Those books are fabulous! Did the second batch originate from the same source as well?
  18. Wow! Those books are fabulous! Did you get them all from the same dealer? If books like that are indicative of what's to be found at the NYC show, I'll have to check it out next year.
  19. Here are scans of four more of my Action comics from the early sixties:
  20. Those individual thumnails make yours the very best group shots of them all!
  21. Here are a couple more of my ten cent Supermans:
  22. Cool! It's now more of a comic room as opposed to just a room with a comic cabinet. (thumbs u
  23. Wow! Now that looks like a comfy place to spend most of a day! Do you have any before pictures you can juxtapose with an after picture?
