  1. Here are scans of three more of my Aquaman issues: The #11 is a very high nostalgia book for me as it was the first issue of Aquaman I ever bought. I couldn't resist it when I saw it there on the spinner rack at Ken's Variety on Wharncliffe Road in London together with Flash 139, Atom 8 and Justice League 22. I bought them all! So impressed was I by Aquaman 11 that I responded to DC's special subscription offer. Aquaman 12 hit my mail box a month or so later. I was a bit miffed with it arriving folded in half though.
  2. I agree. I've just posted the ones I like the best here!
  3. I have seen some pretty high grade Fox and Crow's here and there latley. Would love to see your collection. I've posted the few I have in this thread: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=5000034#Post5000034
  4. Most of that too is ego. Two or three fellows each determined to own the "best" certified copy, regardless of whether it looks the best to their own eyes. Me, I buy books that look nice enough to me.
  5. Good man! I can say just about the same about the Fox and the Crow title. (thumbs u
  6. I've noticed that model kits haven't appreciated in price overall in the last 15-20 years. That may indeed be due to the availability of reissues since models are often bought by builders as opposed to just collectors. Accumulating models has thus become a better "value" proposition in the last few years.
  7. But Boris' cuteness wasn't enough to carry the day. I ended up with the job.
  8. Wow! A book with a donkey as the title character! That's even better than a horse book. (thumbs u
  9. Here are scans of three more of my Star Spangled War Stories:
  10. I love those Silver books but a word to the wise - don't let tth2 see them! Here are a few more scans of a book in which Silver plays a prominent part: 58 61 72
  11. I did. And then I violated that rule on that first page when I posted a Strange Adventures. I guess that means sci-fi is ok here Alright then. I guess I'll have to post this scan:
  12. Here I am with Balticboy and Deuce waiting for Grandma's Diner to open for the day: Here I just found out that Grandma has closed up shop for the weekend to go up to her cottage. Deuce though hasn't heard the news yet.
  13. Here are scans of three of my Flash issues featuring the Elongated Man:
  14. I wasn't the only applicant for my current position as The MAN's sales/personal assistant. I had to beat out a whole host of other applicants. In the end it came down to either me or Boris. Here are a few pics of Boris the day of his job interview with The MAN: Here The MAN's human relations consultant is doing a quick check of Boris to make that Boris betrays no signs of being involved in substance abuse: My superior portfolio analysis skills ended up giving me the edge over Boris that day.
  15. If you mean the San Diego Comic Con, that thought has indeed crossed my mind. Maybe, maybe in 2012.
  16. What a salesman! BTW, what was he suggesting you buy, multiple issues of the same book to get all the variant covers?
  17. Nice book! (thumbs u Here are some scans of Kid Flash covers from my collection:
  18. Yes, thank you, the letter does indeed answer many questions! Given that the results and letter were published in issue #4 of Alter-Ego, it would appear that the 1961 ballot was probably mailed out no earlier than February 1962, which would explain the write-in votes for the Fantastic Four. Here are scans of my Jay Garrick Flash crossover books:
