  1. I'll be a guest at the Roughriders-Argonauts game tonight in Mackenzie Financial's tent on the sidelines at the SkyDome in Toronto! I'm looking forward to cheering the Argonauts on to victory together with all the hot dogs, chicken wings, nachos and popcorn I can eat! So if you see a black cat streaking across the field at tonight's game, that will be me!
  2. Women seem genetically inclined that way. The only interests most think are worth pursuing have to do with relationships, mating, raising children etc. That's their singleminded focus in life.
  3. Here then are scans of two more: The #13 has a cover that ranks right up there with my favourite Aquaman covers.
  4. Despite the technical flaws, both those covers are super cool! (thumbs u
  5. Wow! 9.6s! Those are sharp! (thumbs u Here are the scans of my multiple Green Lantern books: Oakland copy
  6. Here are scans of my early Justice League books with the appearances of potential new members:
  7. Interesting that DC went with a split cover for that issue. You would think that they would have saved one of those cover concepts for another issue.
  8. There's a high grade SA slab collector right on this board who's selling/sold just about all his comics because of this trend in the industry. Do you think he's the only one? Meaning more supply and less demand in the future.
  9. Here are scans of some of my Flash issues featuring the dastardly Captain Cold: Northland copy I have a particulary soft spot in my heart for #140 because I remember the spellbinding effect it had on me when I first saw it on the magazine stand at Les' Variety on Wortley Road in London.
  10. The #5 is tough to beat although I have nostalgic ties to #11 and #12.
  11. Here are scans of some of my favourite Lois Lane covers from later in the run:
  12. Here are scans of two more of my earlier Batman books:
  13. Here are scans of three more of my Aquaman issues: The #11 is a very high nostalgia book for me as it was the first issue of Aquaman I ever bought. I couldn't resist it when I saw it there on the spinner rack at Ken's Variety on Wharncliffe Road in London together with Flash 139, Atom 8 and Justice League 22. I bought them all! So impressed was I by Aquaman 11 that I responded to DC's special subscription offer. Aquaman 12 hit my mail box a month or so later. I was a bit miffed with it arriving folded in half though.
  14. I agree. I've just posted the ones I like the best here!
  15. I have seen some pretty high grade Fox and Crow's here and there latley. Would love to see your collection. I've posted the few I have in this thread: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=5000034#Post5000034
  16. Most of that too is ego. Two or three fellows each determined to own the "best" certified copy, regardless of whether it looks the best to their own eyes. Me, I buy books that look nice enough to me.
  17. Good man! I can say just about the same about the Fox and the Crow title. (thumbs u
  18. I've noticed that model kits haven't appreciated in price overall in the last 15-20 years. That may indeed be due to the availability of reissues since models are often bought by builders as opposed to just collectors. Accumulating models has thus become a better "value" proposition in the last few years.
  19. But Boris' cuteness wasn't enough to carry the day. I ended up with the job.
  20. Wow! A book with a donkey as the title character! That's even better than a horse book. (thumbs u
  21. Here are scans of three more of my Star Spangled War Stories:
  22. I love those Silver books but a word to the wise - don't let tth2 see them! Here are a few more scans of a book in which Silver plays a prominent part: 58 61 72
