  1. I did. And then I violated that rule on that first page when I posted a Strange Adventures. I guess that means sci-fi is ok here Alright then. I guess I'll have to post this scan:
  2. Here I am with Balticboy and Deuce waiting for Grandma's Diner to open for the day: Here I just found out that Grandma has closed up shop for the weekend to go up to her cottage. Deuce though hasn't heard the news yet.
  3. Here are scans of three of my Flash issues featuring the Elongated Man:
  4. I wasn't the only applicant for my current position as The MAN's sales/personal assistant. I had to beat out a whole host of other applicants. In the end it came down to either me or Boris. Here are a few pics of Boris the day of his job interview with The MAN: Here The MAN's human relations consultant is doing a quick check of Boris to make that Boris betrays no signs of being involved in substance abuse: My superior portfolio analysis skills ended up giving me the edge over Boris that day.
  5. If you mean the San Diego Comic Con, that thought has indeed crossed my mind. Maybe, maybe in 2012.
  6. What a salesman! BTW, what was he suggesting you buy, multiple issues of the same book to get all the variant covers?
  7. Nice book! (thumbs u Here are some scans of Kid Flash covers from my collection:
  8. Yes, thank you, the letter does indeed answer many questions! Given that the results and letter were published in issue #4 of Alter-Ego, it would appear that the 1961 ballot was probably mailed out no earlier than February 1962, which would explain the write-in votes for the Fantastic Four. Here are scans of my Jay Garrick Flash crossover books:
  9. Hey, that's a nice one! Here are scans of three more of my Detective Comics:
  10. Fabulous stuff! I'd like to see the Alley Award winners for other years too! I wonder who comprised the Academy of Comic-Book Arts and Sciences though. Had they ever heard of Dell, Harvey, Charlton, Marvel or any other comic book publisher? Had they heard of genres other than superheroes? Had they heard of editors other than Julius Scwartz? Surely comics other than those of DC deserved recognition among the best, and worst, published.
  11. I thought both villains and heroes all wore boots or slippers.
  12. Very interesting! Do you have any more material you can scan from Alter Ego?
  13. Here's my entry: I'm a big fan of the Wasp as well as Ant-Man. Once Ant-Man evolved into Giant-Man, however, I lost interest in the title.
  14. Here are scans of three more of my Brave & the Bold books:
  15. Here are scans of a trio of cool Sonar covers from my collection:
  16. I'll scan more of my JLA books in a few months time but I'm still working on scanning other titles that typically don't get as much attention. Not everything can be done at once. Hepcat, anything slabbed in yer homestead??? Just a 9.2 Mystery in Space 75 undercopy on which I'm entertaining offers. I've cracked open every one of the dozen or so slabbed books I've bought over the years.
  17. I'll scan more of my JLA books in a few months time but I'm still working on scanning other titles that typically don't get as much attention. Not everything can be done at once.
  18. What?! Here the Scarlet Witch appears to be in danger of being swept away in the current and Captain America is still primly grasping her by only her upper arm? What kind of way is that to rescue a positively luscious woman from the water? I'd have her in a much more satisfactory grip, that's for sure! And people wonder why I'm always calling Captain America a sap.
