I'm deleting my previous post, because I now see I misunderstood the order of things here. But this boggles my mind. CGC not only acquiesced to the adding of tape to attach a cover, they actually encouraged it by awarding a grade bump. I had previously understood the only way a book with tape got a blue label was if the tape was old. That's clearly not the case here. No words

+1. It seems like a low grade key draws more competition and ends up going for a higher price per point than the higher grade key where fewer bidders have the deep pockets required

The stock market has been absolutely insane for the last 2 years. I guess you take away consumer protections, and its like the training wheels have been taken away: business is just more profitable. I'm in this hobby for the love of it, as is everyone here. But I don't want to lose money, and it just seems crazy to sell stock to buy books. So . . . is now the best time or the worst time to invest in comics?

I joined the boards in 2005, but immediately fled because it bewildered me. It took another 12 years to actually stick a toe in the water and make my first post. Now I’ve gotten to the point where I see personalities out there in the wild, and I like it. Mostly. Gotta keep an eye on woo woo
