  1. Talk to the HAND! Strange Adventures 110
  2. It's better than 4.5 I feel so whoever gets it will be pleased. Of course I'll be at WW Chicago. Tables and Hotel booked.
  3. Cgc 4.5. Can't figure how to price these so just gave it to Clink for auction. Did I see you at C2E2? I was swamped all weekend and may have missed you even though you were there.
  4. He's not telling the whole story. In Kentucky spam in king but no way I was taking time payments. No wonder his wall books are so embarrassing. Next time cash and spam if you want to buy the big books.
  5. Love all the nice comments. I subbed the comic and I'm pleased with the grade. I think we see a lot of books in 5.0 recently with chipping with selling prices that are underwhelming. It'd be hard to find a nicer 5.0. What I was hoping for and was lobbying for once I got the grade and before it shipped was White pages. No luck as they stayed with the original assessment of OW/W. I swear it looks like the interior never aged at all. Thanks again everyone. The interior is sweet.
  6. I saw that comic also and now I must have one! Congrats to the owner. Always encouraging to see the younger people keeping this hobby healthy.
  7. So I gave this comic 1 (small) shot to sell at C2E2. Now it's mine after having a decent selling weekend.
  8. Please sell! Please sell! Please sell! I've really never been tempted to sell mine but that might change if they get close to asking price.
  9. I already filled out my onsite submission form and I was surprised to see that reholder was an option so maybe yes on reholder.
  10. If you're asking what I had to pay CCS to have the 2 covers removed from binder it was $500.
  11. No. It looked very rough since it was on the outside of the binder exposed to elements.
  12. I didn't need the front cover so grading it made it easy to sell. My Bat 1 is a .5 incomplete so no need to grade. If I did grade it would get qualified. P.S. you need to reduce the size of images in your signature line.
  13. My only Baker that I'll get onsite graded at C2E2
  14. Actually pretty dang nice. Just remember "past performance does not guarantee future results"
  15. My Bat 1 was missing back cover. 3 years ago I found a guy selling front and back cover on eBay. Both covers were glued to a notebook binder. Matt was able to remove both and dry clean them. I graded the front cover and it got blue label. I kept the back and it's with my Bat1 sitting in a mylar. No plans to attach it. Before and after of back cover.
  16. I just noticed the Cap 1 CGC 2.5 that was on Clink for a few months then removed when the low grade Cap 1 CGC 1.5 sold on ComicConnect for $70K is now showing sale pending $95,000. Cap 1 2.5
  17. Leroy Harper Comics will be at booth 1536. It shows this as Comics4less booth on the exhibitor list. This is my 3rd year at C2E2 and just like last 2 years I'm next to Comics4less big island setup. Thing is I have Comics4more, so the higher end stuff like the big time dealers in main part of the room just not as much as they do. I will have free candy up until Greggy comes by the booth. I also have 32 new long boxes of my $2, $3 & $5 comics that have never seen a show floor. All in order bagged/boarded, 85% of which is silver/bronze so maybe I do have some comics4less. Anyway if you know what I typically have I doubt you'd be disappointed with what I'm bringing. If you never shop my booth be sure to check it out I think you'll be surprised at what I'm bringing. Hope to see all my regulars and some new buyers. Thanks Leroy
  18. Seems like tape on these Tecs doesn't slow them like it did in past. The 29 in 3.5, 35 in 5.5 & 37 in 3.5 all had tape and went strong. I was watching the #29 3.5 with tape as it's practically identical to mine I bought in Dec 2016. This 3.5 sold for $17K more than I paid.
  19. With so many Detective comics ending tonight on ComicConnect I sure there will be surprises high and low. I'm tempted to place a bid on #28.
  20. I think it cleaned up real nice. Maybe a borderline 5.0 but it's not like a common silver age key in 5.0 where you can pick from 100 of them. in a heartbeat over my 3.5. Hard to believe the auction company was in such a rush to get the book to market without exploring the upgrade potential before all the Detectives on Detectives got the before pic.
  21. Oh man so sad to hear. I first met John back in 1984 when we would both sell comics at the Ambassador hotel in LA. He could take a stack of 200 randomly priced comic and zip through them in a heartbeat and give you the exact total. Thanks for all the great memories. Prayers for the family. I'll miss you John. RIP
  22. Clink TOS 39's sold 3/8/18 9.0 OW/W $49,777 this barely beat the Heritage 8.5 sold 2 weeks ago but still an increase on this book in 9.0 according to public sales. I remember clink selling a 9.0 2 or 3 years back for around $43K IIRC. 7.5 OW/W $17.900. Last 7.5 on GPA $13,700 11/17 4.0 $5200 Two other 4.5 have sold this year $4541 & $5350 2.0 CBS with small tape OW $2675 last 2.0 CGC in Jan 2017 sold $2650
  23. Price just went up on high grade copies. Will it maintain this pricing? Heritage just sold this 8.5 for $47,800 Tos 39
