  1. I like them and I have these 2 in my collection. I also sold a random Sup 1 page at Wizard Chicago this past weekend. Welcome to the boards.
  2. My son lives in San Diego and for the last 6 years we go to SDCC. At SDCC 2016 he was wanting to invest in a comic so I told him AF 15 would be solid 5 to 10 year investment. I had a nice looking 3.0 at the time and I made him a great deal and sold it to him for $9000 when market was around $12K. He was thrilled when I told him recently Clink sold a 3.0 for $16,700. Since I made him a great deal we agreed if he sells within 2 years of purchase he has to split profit with me, any sale after the 2 years is all his. I'm thrilled it's doing so good for him. I told him it's done in 15 months what I expected it to take 10 years. As for mentioning other keys being undervalued I had my TOS 39 9.0 at C2E2 and Heroes for $45K. I offered it to a NY dealer for $42K but no sale. Then I got to thinking with this insane market what if it becomes the next must have high grade comic and is selling for $75K in next couple years. Anyway it's now off the market.
  3. I'll be at booth 124 again this year setup in conjunction with comics4less. Mostly silver and bronze with a few gold items. 30+ long boxes of my $2, $3 & $5 comics. Free candy too.
  4. Oh well my highest graded 6.5 just got blown out of the water. If it had to go down at least it wasn't beat out by a 7.0. Love that cover and big congrats.
  5. A few of the HA Centaurs are from the collection I bought last summer and posted about in this thread so they are not all from one owner. Here is my AMF 2.4 I recently bought. Never really had much interest in Centaurs until I bought that collection. While I have no desire to buy the AMF run I'm attracted to a few of the covers. Now I need someone to post the Sand Hogs story from 2.5 so I can see if our Sand Hogs survived the terrible predicament they are in.
  6. Big congrats to you. Those all used to belong to me. I found the FC and BC on eBay Thanksgiving 2013. The auction title was misleading so since the title was not as good as it should have been I was able to win it at a decent price. I bought the incomplete interior last year in a bunch of coverless/incomplete comics. Sold the FC through comicconnect and interior through clink. I still have the back cover and it looks real nice. Not for sale at this time as I have similar problem but my Bat 1 has matching FC and interior. You should PM me your info and if I ever decide to sell you would want to own the matching back cover I would think. I also have photos of the entire Bat 1 interior should you want to see it. The FC and BC were glued to a notebook binder which I had CCS remove and he did a great job. FC got the worst damage as it was on outside cover of binder exposed to elements.
  7. Good luck Mike. I wanted to do the show but promoter wouldn't sell me 1 table. It was 3 tables or nothing. I actually have decent comics for sale. Oh well I'll wait and setup at Wizard Chicago and Baltimore.
  8. This guy had some serious talent. Keep the covers coming.
  9. How did you get that bid offer history? I'm kinda new to eBay.
  10. As bad as some say SDCC is for buying comics I have found it the best place to get items for my collection. It seems the dealers that do show up all try and outdo the other guy and bring items they might not take to other shows. This show definitely has quality over quantity. As for all the other non-comic related stuff I love seeing that as well. It does help that I get free room at my son's apartment and we both have a blast. However even though I sell at a few big shows like C2E2, Wizard Chicago, Baltimore and Heroes I would never consider setting up at SDCC. Crazy expense and hassle when I have closer shows in my midwest area. Sad to see Chuck go but I could never figure out how he made any money at SDCC. I would scan over his booth in about 30 minutes and leave.
  11. I have a TOS 57 Sept 1964 with chipping. What is your latest Marvel date with this problem?
  12. I was underbidder at $11! Should have went stronger for it but I already have one. Very nice addition to the Gotham collection. Congrats on the Tec 29!
  13. Very nice Tec 33 for .5. As for PQ not sure on that either. Looks CR/OW to me. I've received more light tan/off-white PQ GA books in last year than my last 15 years combined.
  14. Nice pics! I went Saturday for a couple hours and spent money at little comic con that they always have. I'm only 10 miles from Metropolis.
  15. Good luck Nik and make sure you get ID and a receipt from whoever you buy from! I'll be in my same location 612/711. I'm loaded up with 30 brand new 1940's-1980's never seen a show floor long boxes of $2, $3 & $5 comics all in order. Safe travels everyone.
  16. Comics4less auctions ending Sunday June 11 benefit fellow board member. Link to Auctions for boardie Niklespot Link to original post in announcements section Click the link or read the copy and paste below. Just starting this thread for Pete so more boardies will see it. Pete donated a lot of what is in the auction as well as getting donations from various dealers at C2E2 and Planet Con. Comic Book Robbery in Illinois Last Year - Help a Fellow Dealer Let me introduce myself. I am Pete Przysiezny, owner of Comics4less. I had a tragic situation happen to me last year when I was taken advantage by a terrible criminal who stole many items from my warehouse. This fundraiser is not for myself but my close dealer friend who was affected by this tragedy. I am seeking help from everyone who knows or feels for someone who is hurting or is in need. Please read below for more information on the fundraiser: As some of you may know, last August a criminal with thorough knowledge of the comic industry targeted dealers in the midwest. Over a weekend the criminal stole from my warehouse and immediately tried to resell the comics. He was able to sell some of the books to Nic Franks for cash and trade. The criminal has since been arrested and will see his day in court. However, the cash and trade books were never recovered and the stolen books are still in police custody.Immediately I made a promise to Nik that I would use my energy and connections to help him and his family through this difficult time. I am asking you to join me in donating items for a fundraising eBay auction ending on June 3rd. Every dollar raised will go directly towards helping Nik's young family.Every donor will be featured in the each of the auctions. If you are interested in helping, send me an email at oldcomics@yahoo.com or call me at 847-513-2666 or contribute to the GoFundMe page at https://www.gofundme.com/nikfranks. I will do another post once the auction has started. Thanks, Pete Przysiezny
  17. Someone PM me when this thread is back discussing Pre-Robin Tec comics.
  18. I love my Cap 1 but I feel Bat 1 will and should always be worth more. I do think it could one day overtake Superman 1.
  19. Awesome accomplishment and sweet looking #1! Congrats
  20. You seem to gobble up whatever I bring so I guess the usual and you seem to like them.
  21. Yes they will. Onsite grading also. CGC Show schedule I'll be there also with free candy and some comics that are not free.
  22. I shall return to sell comics and I'll have free candy.
  23. Off topic here but in comics some of us like/tolerate date stamps or in this case the name since it's a pedigree. Even a name if not to overwhelming is mostly acceptable in our hobby on older comics and will not to much degree affect the final price. But put a small set of initials or any mark let alone a name on a baseball card front or back and it's the equivalent of trimming a comic as far as price you would get. BTW that is one cool comic.
  24. I always stay in Ocean Beach at my son's apartment. Last year we lost out on lottery for parking that cost $40 a day. We decided to Uber every day and never paid more than $12 one way for Uber.
