  1. This "adventure" of theirs was a complete bust. There hasn't been any word of an art auction in over a year. Who's gonna consign art to them? The Brothers of Destruction? I've had my own problems with Randy, but was still going to give them a try on some cheap material. But after I read what his boss did, I reconsidered. MI
  2. I originally sold page 4 from GL #76 for Neal back in 1976. Price was $250. Ow. MI
  3. Yeah, Sinnott inked this over Jack’s pencils for the back cover of Larry Shell’s and my book. This was one of the originals Jack got back after the book was published. I own the Bulls Eye piece Jack specifically drew for our book. MI
  4. The back story of this page is that it came from the collection of Pete Morisi. Pete lived on Staten Island, NY, and I was invited over to his home, as I lived on the other side of the Island. He had a great collection of Golden Age art that he acquired when he was a kid in the early 40s. Pete would write to the artists, or in most cases visit them at their studio and talk to them about wanting to be an artist. The artist would sit with him and talk and them Pete would ask for a drawing. Most times it would be a page of art. Pete had the 2nd Kirby Newsboy Legion Cover as well as a hand colored Daredevil Splash by Jack Cole, art by Jerry Robinson, as well as the Everett page and more. He sold his collection shortly before he passed away. I was living in Upstate NY, and Pete didn’t have my contact info, otherwise I might have had the art. Pete somehow found my contact info after he sold the collection to apologize for not contacting me when he sold the collection. Pete was a nice guy and a wealth of information. MI
  5. I beg to differ. I’ve sold later Sin City covers for more than $12k, as well as interior pages and splashes. Just cuz you see it on the site, doesn’t mean it ain’t so. And only the first half of Ronin #1 is on the market. Some of it not quite legally. The rest resides with Miller. i sold the Ronin painted poster art by Miller and Varley for much more than $40k. However not many interiors would fetch $40k MI

  14. It's San Diego Comic Con Preview time again! Our booth is at the usual spot, 4413. Thank you to all my consignors. This show would not be possible without you. Thank you for your support. This year, as last year, I will list all the artists whose work has been consigned to me, I have also added over 180 originals to the site. You can't see them yet. I will make the art live on Thursday morning, July 18th San Diego time. This will give the Comic Con buyers first shot at the art, and also taking into consideration the buyers not going to the show. Please don't email or call asking for scans. I will not send any before the art goes live. I will send an email blast again, with a link to the "What's New" page Thursday morning once all the art is live. If you are going to the show and wish to consign art to us there, please feel free to contact me and let me know. The list of artists include, in no particular order..... 17. I knew it was a forgery. I wanted other opinions. It is being offered on Liveauctioneers, the land of forged art.
  18. No. The Layton says “after Kirby”. so there is probably a legit pencil drawing of iron man out there.
