PGM Invincible Iron Man 1 - Grade is in!
scburdet replied to ChrispyC66's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
The back looks like ink transfer to me, unless something is written on the inside of the back cover. It's like it was stacked next to a book with "125" written on it in marker. Almost like ink transfer from a distributor mark or something. I think a 7.0 is possible. -
PGM beloved Incredible Hulk 105
scburdet replied to flying_bison's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Some scuffing around the spine under the price box and the ding by the fire hydrant. The crease on the outer edge by the K and some general light edge wear. 7.0±0.5. I'd say 7.5 is a long shot, but possible. -
PGM Giant-Size X-Men 1 - Grade is in!
scburdet replied to ChrispyC66's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
3.5/4.0. I think the sq bound format is responsible for some of the severity like the spine split and might not get hammered quite as hard as a regular comic. -
PGM - Tales of Suspense #58
scburdet replied to Deutero's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
I don't have a good calibration for pieces missing from the covers. I think the max for this (ignoring the size) is 3.5. I'm going with 3.0±0.5 with a huge asterisk for me not knowing anything. -
PGM - Captain America #111 - Grade is in!

Love me some Steranko art. I'd guess CGC would call that back damage a tape pull, even though IDK how you'd get that type of damage. Maybe you'd be around a 7.0 just for that. As big, if not bigger, issue at CGC is what looks like tanning/foxing, which is readily apparent with that much white cover. I got dinged pretty hard for some discoloration on just the inside of a cover. I think this might go as low as 5.0/5.5 -
+1 on the inside photos. We probably need to pay more attention to discoloration on inside covers and interior pages based on CGC's current standards. That edge is pretty rough. Without a different perspective, it's hard to tell if it's from cover overhang or just regular handling. I was around 6.0 without the tear near the spine. I'd still set that as the ceiling. 5.5±0.5

I see, something, around the staples on the back. The photo is not very sharp when enlarged. I can see some inconsistencies in the color along the top of the front cover. It could be a 9.0 or better, if could also be a grade or so lower depending on what's not clear in the photos
