  1. No, nobody here is going to know, other than it will be some time after Feb 17 … CGC likely doesn’t even know

based on the news release it was originally “scheduled” for late Jan or Feb

given any kind of submission deadline extension it looks to likely be later now

also this appears not to be an in house signing but like most “celeb” signings also has a 3rd party involved (Celebrity Authentics in this case)

best to sit back, relax, and check social media posts for any updates

So I sent off this comic to be signed and today they charged me so I looked and they have put it in the system finally! But it says scheduled for grading already lol? I thought the high jackman signing was pushed? Confused why it says that as the status

that is the first status you will see on a submission when received by CGC … ex.there is no scheduled for signing status

if you had CCS pressing on the order your initial status would read “received at CCS” and CCS does not press until post signing

    hope that clarifies things

Does anyone know when the Clayton Crain signing is? My book is at scheduled for grading

per their social media post today ….

2023 is off to an awesome start and we had 4 incredible creators in this week for their CGC In-House Private Signings. Clayton Crain knocked out some of his amazing signatures and Remarques over the past two days. Check out the video for some of the highlights from his signing, and stay tuned for more photos and videos from this week’s signings coming soon! #ClaytonCrain #Venom #SpiderMan #Carnage #CGC #Comics #Signing #Crainbow

Just got a book back that was pressed by CCS, the grader's notes noted: Stained. Um, does their pressing service not include cleaning? I don't even recall seeing a stain...

Dry cleaning a comic to remove soiling and any unwanted substance is also considered a non-restorative process, and is included in the CCS pressing service when necessary.

Update. They told me the pressing was done after the signature but couldn't guarantee pressing fixes everything.

and did you answer, no ____ Sherlock?

go to the CCS homepage and look under the "What CCS Can Do" area (bends, corner crunch, dirt, finger bends, non-color-breaking spine stress, ripples, spine roll, stacking bends, writing)

    https://www.cgccomics.com/ccs-pressing/

ask yourself how many times have you ever seen a before and after picture on these boards that show that kind of attention and care done to a book submitted to CCS ..... I'd love to see examples because other than the ones they have posted I've never seen it and have seen more examples of people questioning if they even touched their book

CCS (at least at current day) is the McDonalds of comic book pressing .... no offense to McDonalds

Steranko appeared at the Little Giant Comics Old School Comic Show in April 2022.   He signed my Daredevil 44.

I have seen him listed on at least one guest list for a convention coming up in 2023, but I can't remember where.  Chances are there will be a facilitator available to get his signature for you somewhere this year.

thanks but I’m not looking for a facilitator

I’m wanting an in house SS event

new year let's hear your updated wants

was able to get Perez and Sienkiewicz (if I ever do get my book returned to me) last year and sent in a Miller submission which has been pushed back to this year

my top 3 wants still remain the same as when this thread was created with my absolute most wanted being the first one named

    - John Romita Sr.

    - Alex Ross

    - John Byrne

Steranko did not return in 2021 and is still wanted

others I have books I would consider submitting for: McFarlane, Starlin, JRJR, Art Adams and further down the line Hughes and JS Campbell

^ from my start of 2022 post

another year and my top 3 wants remain the same despite little to no hope

shocked there was no Steranko SS event in 2022 … long overdue

was able to cross off Starlin, JRJR, and JSC from above in 2022, my McFarlane sub will be in the next batch of signings

Art Adams and Hughes are still lower level wants for consideration

Got a sketch (not a remarque or signature) from the JR JR signing. Current Status is 'Received' back in July...

I know the signing was in early Oct .... my book is dated signed 10/11/22

I would assume the sketches were not done on site and would take some time to get back, even longer if inked

didn't appear to be a limited to x number either

have you reached out to privatesignings@cgccomics.com to inquire?

  9. no, you do not have to use CGC’s pre-made yellow window bags but according to all sig series announcements, you do need to window bag all ungraded books or they will not be accepted

if you are not familiar with how to do so you can search and there are even tutorials provided on this forum

    good luck with your submission

I'm seeing lots of 9.2, 9.4 and 9.6 books being sold as a Buy It Now on Ebay for way less than the $120 signature cost. I still don't understand why so many people sent their books off unless they had a real shot at a 9.8 on a key, rare book like #300, #301, etc. CGC really marketed the heck out of this event.

most of the submissions are going to be for people that want to keep the books in their collections

there are probably more signed McFarlane books out there unsigned :nyah:

I'm in the same boat with my 4 books. So if they are heading to CCS does that mean they have already been signed?

"Received at CCS" does not mean the books have been signed

that is the initial status for books that have pressing services with CCS when first received by CGC

when the book is actually signed and pressed it will move to "Scheduled for Grading" status

    hope that helps
