Even with the correct label, I’m not happy with the way the book currently looks.

and you shouldn’t be, so frustrating

looks like the scan they captured for that cert is the book they sent you, at least the back was already white

best you can do now is send it back in under the ME process (with detailed notes about both the label issue and white substance issue), hope it gets there and back safely and that whoever oversaw your book had a bad case of dandruff or just finished eating a powdered doughnut and it can be harmlessly wiped away and they correct the label and send it back without new issues

I don’t know how you can be convinced it isn’t the same book you sent … CGC QC (or lack thereof) is such a sad state of affairs these days

good on you to have taken or kept “before” pictures

  2. let’s start with this, are you saying the last 2 images represent a universal blue label Detective Comics 1000 graded 9.8 book you sent in to be cracked, signed, and reslabbed by CGC?  I assume you didn’t crack it out before hand

The first glaring issue aside from the white spots you should be asking is why the signed book came back in a blue universal slab and not a yellow signature series one!?

Everyone that has books for this signing needs to be patient. This was originally scheduled for late January/February. Then it was extended and more submissions were allowed.

Recent photos and videos have leaked from the Deadpool 3 movie set. He is working and fulfilling his contract obligations.

he is not currently working, he is on strike

but your point of patience is valid for those who submitted

Far more opportunity and flexibility to investigate this now in the digital age with comparatively minor time, effort and financial expenditure compared to what used to be required.

indeed, I have a 40 Years of ASM 11 cd-rom collection with over 500 issues from 1963 -2023 that had a $39.99 price tag on the box … granted I have to find a pc with an optical drive to view these (not so easy in today’s digital age) but there are ways for people to discover these stories/art on the cheap …  being a “collector” is a whole different animal and you should not equate the two which is something I think the OP is doing

Actually have a good vision of the market because im just like to spend time on ebay to watch the comics.

And my report is that: actually if you try to collect a full run from 1990 to 2010 of ASM Only you will spend more money than to collect a full run of each member of the justice league reunited (batman, superman, ww, flash, gl, aquaman an MM)

    Its just crazy!!!

we hear that it's the mcu that caused the increasement of Marvel books, in my opinion that just killed a lot of innocent fan who initiatilly just wanted to read some amazing stories to escape of the reality...

Im personally started to collect comics just one years ago, and im lucky to have a preference for DC but we can't all love the same thing. And i really think if i would have been a Marvel Fan maybe i will already stopped this hobby realizing it was just too expensive, and unfortunately that probably happen to a lot of people...

What are you thinking about that?

so they can use Marvel’s digital platform for free for 7 days or $9.99 per month

determine what they enjoy and then buy any number of trades/collections

I doubt many casual “innocent” potential fans are looking to ebay to put together runs of floppies

FF# 214 CGC 9.8 WP's, $150 + shipping. Not an easy book to find in grade:

I typically don’t respond (especially with any negative connotations) but of course it isn’t easy to find, who the hell is slabbing a FF 214?!

ps. aren’t 24% of the 71 universal blue on the census 9.8
