  1. $66k was strong. I guessed $50k-$55k range.
  2. Two studs for sure and the guy in the white shirt ain't too bad either
  3. agreed. I believe it would get a 2.5/3.0 tops and a Green label....
  4. Folks are desperate to get whatever books that can be had. I see more risks taken on raw/brittle books more and more each day. The front cover of that 37 was all there, and that was enough for someone.
  5. Well hold on Harold. I never said I wasn't willing to buy it at the time. Besides, a month prior I had just bought a 5.0 Tec 31 from Gator for 2009 FMV prices
  6. I got to party with it and Gator at SDCC 2009. Asking price was a whopping $95k then
  7. My guess is no. It is refreshing to see the cover and corresponding splash side by side. Congrats Mike--that was a near impossible feat.
  8. yah Fish, as Brian says it's up to the buyer/bidder in the end. I remember Matt Nelson had a FMV chart on his old Classic Resto website and it broke down his estimates for slight, mod, and extensive. On paper, it would seem that any Professional resto would bring higher FMV than Amateur. I know for me glue and seals are the least amount of resto for me and I'd proabably pay more than for color touched/pieces add, trimmed copies...it all depends on the book too...
  9. And Brian knows I've been doing it Black Friday style waiting for the day
  10. Rough estimate that I do is take 1/3-1/2 of the FMV of an unrestored copy. Prices on plods seems to fall in that range most of the time pending level of resto, etc. So if a 4.0 blue runs $1000, then a 4.0 plod would estimate at $300-$500. Maybe $200 if it was extensive (A) and sloppy work.
  11. I thought I saw a few low graders sell at that price point in the past year or so....see what Rick says..he would know. It may have been 1 or two copies at that price point but it may be lower (at least $50k-$60k).
  12. 2.5 as is. looks like 3.0-3.5 if tape was not applied.
  13. 4.5..looks 5.0 front but the chips upper BC bring it down IMO.. nice
