  1. sounds like both copies would refer to an arrival date of May 23.
  2. no, much more. Last CGC 5.5 copy went for $7K+ in 2014 on HA. I would expect this 5.5 won't have much resistance even though it is not CGC graded....$8K+ minimum and I would not be surprised if it hits $10-$11k.
  3. Yup and I owned it raw before I slabbed it first myself and I can attest that the CF was trimmed.
  4. I watched all 13 episodes in one day, for the first time, last weekend...I thought Season 1 was really good. It reminded me of NYPD Blue with a Superhero in it. In fact, during some stretches of the run, I forgot it was a superhero show and I thought it was purely a typical crime/detective series centered in Harlem, NY ---- my favorite parts of the series was seeing how Pop's Barbershop was a community centerpiece for troubled youth and young men. It reminded me of Ice Cube's Barbershop movie. I also thought Method Man's cameo and Bulletproof Love rhyme was cool. #shoutouttoPop #hoodie
  5. the colors in hand on it were very nice for a low grade (better than the 3.5 that I upgraded to at the time).
  6. And it was good to see it was re-subbed and the "CF trimmed" got put back on the notes...perhaps my post about those notes missing got back to HA....
  7. For timely, it is the earliest. Not sure about any other publications.
  8. Pretty good Gino. Looks like a mix of March 1943 and April 1943 books: http://www.mikesamazingworld.com/features/newsstand.php?type=calendar&month=3&year=1943&publisher=all&sort=alpha&checklist=null http://www.mikesamazingworld.com/features/newsstand.php?type=calendar&month=4&year=1943&publisher=all&sort=alpha&checklist=null
  9. Tec 14 shows Speed Saunders in bondage (out late March 1938).
  10. For Timely, it would be Daring Mystery 1 (out on stands late Oct 1939)
  11. Dude all your post disappeared too
  12. nice Leroy. And the Sept 25 arrival date is cool as well.
  13. I always use at least 2 backing boards with any raw gold... 1. Two super gold backing boards 2. 2 mil super gold Mylar (with flap) 3. Place comic plus 1,2 above in open end super gold Mylar 4. Place 1-3 plus comic in magazine size top loader 1 and 2 above are sufficient enough and make a beater comic pop and present nicely. But using steps 3 and 4 give the book extra sturdiness while in storage and handling. Using steps 1 and 2 plus 3 back boards gives the same back support, but I just feel raws have a complete "perimeter" protection when adding steps 3 and 4. Step four was something I added a few years ago. Bunky Brian added the 2-3 backboard technique to his raws which I like. Super gold backboards give the white margin around the perimeter of the book, which is a nice touch. They look great in hand
