I think so in a way. Although it is not caps 2nd cover appearance, I think cap 3 is the 2nd most desirable and valuable Cap book in the run similar to how action 7 is.

Is this book worth buying or even reading from the start of this whole saga (Issue 794 I believe)? I don't follow modern books much. Tnx.

Heeeeck no. Just basing it on human nature of how sellers price things. He's basically asking $300k, so he knows what they've been going for, and he sees the 2.5 right there on comiclink as well, three full grades lower, pending at just under $100k. The seller of the 5.5 already believes his price to be reasonable (and it basically is), but he will give a little to get the deal done. "A little" would be coming down $25k to $275k. -J. Got it. I guess we have to do the wait and see approach. The $250k i mentioned is around the min estimate, sure I can see it selling for more.

I can see that because one thing I noticed about the older slabs is that the book inside can shift and slide by a minor tap with your hand or table possibly causing SSS. Does not happen with all older slabs. The newer ones are much more harder to move.

Good for you DST for winning and paying that amount for a very beautifully presentable ASM #1. I've been stressing that eye appeal should be the benefactor in buying and not the grade. Whether or not the book can upgrade someday, you've got yourself a true keeper

My old copy! Haven't seen in years!! Had it in a 1st gen label before. Pages are indeed bone white. Very nice book.
