  1. Go to Bleeding Cool News. ( link ) The thread here at CGC seemed pretty tame, but a few people did post photos of one of the people involved, and then there were comments about the photos, stories about other incidents, and the standard (and to an extent justified) pile-on of posts angry about what happened. Presumably some of the people involved complained about the thread, OR the powers that be decided it was too malicious, especially given that the people involved were longtime CGC customers, etc. In my view, the thread was useful as a warning for people to know to secure their valuables at conventions, and other reasons that the thread's existence served the interest of the collecting community in protecting their property. Whatever the reasons the thread was yanked, go to the Bleeding Cool story. It tells you everything you would need to know about the situation. Cool thanks for the link! I'll definitely check it out before this one gets yanked too I just hope no one was wrongly accused because that would just cause major problems along the line
  2. Wasn't able to read the entire thread about the theft. What exactly was stolen and why would they do such a thing? Anyone with cliff notes of the whole thing would be appreciated. Thanks!
  3. Nice looking copy. GL with the sales!

  7. Can never get tired of seeing a Supes #1. Very nice looking copy! Congrats!
  8. Altered Beast & Golden Axe +2 love those games. I used to play them often in the arcades and at home with my step-brother's Sega Genesis. Would also put Shinobi into the mix. Altered Beast and Golden Axe were the first Genesis games I played on my friend's console, but Phantasy Star II was the one that put me over the top and make me ask for one for Christmas. Still love that game. +1 and revenge of shinobi Never played it. Ugh, wish I did!?! I would do anything to go back in time and relive those times
  9. Good job Cadillac! Looks better now and well deserving to be placed in a mylar
  10. Altered Beast & Golden Axe +2 love those games. I used to play them often in the arcades and at home with my step-brother's Sega Genesis. Would also put Shinobi into the mix.
  11. Sold Jeremy a key ASM book. Transaction went very well. I highly recommend him as a buyer. Thanks again!
  12. Yeah leave them staples alone. Nothing to worry about. Just make sure the book is placed under optimal temperatures (cool, dark, no moisture) and do not put it in a gun safe or any other safe because it can put rust on anything that is metal.
  13. Like Roy said previously, only way to get to the bottom of this is to ask C-link if the collection was pressed or not. It is still difficult for me to tell whether a press work was done to a book, sometimes it is impossible to truly know right? But hey, whether a book was pressed or still in its original state, i am fine with it.
  14. I believe he's stated that this book was passed down from his grandfather, to his father, then him. I respect his decision to keep the book and the book maybe be a family heirloom of sorts And if that's the case than he should keep it. But it also seems that there might be a chance he will sell it later on.
  15. Or you can sell the book graded at auction and use the funds to buy another key book that may be better to hold on to long term. Not that I am saying that AA 16 is not one of them, but I'd put heroes in the GA like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman to have better long term value because of their worldwide popularity.
  16. Pressed or not pressed it doesn't matter, the auction will do very well.
  17. That was also one of my first thoughts on the ASM portion of this collection. In order to be a SA pedigree, would it not have to have the keys in there such as AF 15 and ASM 1? Wonder if both of these books are being held back for now in order to drive up their prices by releasing the "lesser" non-keys first? I'd say either they will do a test run and see how the ASM books will do on Feb or those two books will be posted up later during the new year. I'm pretty sure the collection contains those two mega keys. Would be hard pressed if it didn't.
