Just got an email from ComicConnect that Vinny Z will be there too!

So why bother adding tape then if cleaning would bump up the grade? I see major improvement on the spine area too especially at the bottom staple area and less white with the new grade.

But.. but... I thought CGC would grade a book with tape as if the tape did not exist? So it should still grade out a 1.0 no?

Yeah, was planning on consigning some books to the next CC event auction, but with the problems of the new website, I will hold out for now until everything is 100% functional.

Hehe yea I think this was back around 2003 or 04. Used up practically my savings for it. Very risky lol, but it paid off! It was an Ebay purchase and never purchased anything that expensive online in my life. I kept messaging the seller if and when it would arrive, how he would pack it, etc. Sure enough he messaged me back saying everything will be fine. After about 3 days the book arrived in a Diamond distributor box filled with newspaper. I was ecstatic and relieved. I've always wanted to own this book and it came true for me that day.

.. I was so nervous because it was my biggest comic purchase ever at that time.

Yes it is. I don't get it because there should be a difference in color between offwhite and cream. And impossible for the pages to deteriorate for that short period of time

Really? That's strange! Never had that happened to me before. With me, if a buyer wants to buy an item from me they need to pay first before the auction says sold. If they don't pay, then it is still up for grabs.

Best way to prevent this from happening is to just do buy it now/best offer with immediate payment required

Nothing new here. CGC has been known to be flippy floppy on PQ.
