At some point people trolled me because I no longer owned a Church book. I'm now troll proof

Comparing anything to a Church copy is unfair. It's a "deal" in that it's cheaper than the Church copy, but the dynamics of bidding on a Church book are still different even in the CGC era. There are three 9.6s, but only one is the Church copy, so it will run on a parallel track to the rest of the hobby.

It's been about 3 years since Superman #1 got to the point where any unrestored copy would sell for over $100,000 so this isn't a completely out of left field result. The book is rapidly getting away from people so it doesn't surprise me to see heavy competition in lower grades.

I'm from Boston, but I'll actually just submit White Mountain since it's a couple of hours away and the books just walked into million year picnic

I have put some thought into it in the past and quite recently thought seriously about it. Other people have suggested that I try to take the book over on more than one occasion and I recently softened to the idea on my own. FWIW, it makes sense. In addition to my own research on pedigrees and related topics, I've written several books, so it's a thing that I do.
