  1. I always liked this panel Lot's of Barry Smith influences in my stuff back then - think "Elric". How do ya like the chair getting nicked by the blade. That means it was a very deep cut
  2. I like the fact he seems to be so into the GA character.
  3. Randall is good people (thumbs u - pleasant to deal with, a great conversationalist, and oh yeah, super-fast payment and he gives great feedback too
  4. http://www.comics.org/issue/13042/ 36 according to GCD
  5. Congratulations! It's been a long road traveled. When CGC sends you the last 3 books you can bring it across the finish line
  6. Summertime slowdowns as well . . .
  7. Right? Great time to be a Flash fan. Bad time to start to collecting them.
  8. I always would prefer to sell my books here for all the reasons stated - eBay fees saved, crazies avoided, knowing who you're dealing with - but I sometimes feel that it's a bit cheeky to keep coming back to drink from the same well all the time. I try to save books I can afford to offer at a reasonable price to sell here - the super-hot keys I make some bread on I usually shop them around a little to try optimize my take. I mean there's just so much stuff you can post here and expect people to buy, am I right!
  9. I never though to try this, but heck why not. Has anyone seen original art pages by Bob Morallo (sp) from "Born of Ancient Wisdom" in Eerie #121 and also pages from 123? Most of the "better" pages from these stories were lost by me (not necessarily stolen) decades ago and I've never seen nor heard of them since. On a lark, if anyone knows of the whereabouts of any of these story pages I would be out of my mind with appreciation if you would let me know. The cover: Sample splash page:
  10. That was a cool breakdown of the trailer (thumbs u Interesting note that Lois Lane was also introduced in Action Comics #1.
  11. I wonder if Herbert Skogland is looking for his Sensation #2 Gorgeous books (thumbs u
  12. I don't know how common it was but I remember store owners that clipped the corners and sold the books as back-issues. I don't know why they didn't just tear the titles off and return the books like so many others, maybe they made more money that way.
  13. That's a gorgeous copy of #1! Beautiful colors on that cover. My guess about the clipped corner on the #7 is a candy store owner did it to sell in the back issues pile.
  14. Beautiful looking copy for a lower grade that's for sure. (thumbs u I'm honored you have such high regard for my copy, but rest assured there are folks here that have copies of their own that are quite nice as well. That's a great book to have. Congrats!
  15. Uh-oh....THE SUIT from the future timeline!!!! It's getting closer to looking like the Scarlet Speedster we know. I like the change. I guess they can lose the mesh bodice once Grant develops the washboard stomach.
  16. Who cares what Grant Morrison thinks. The guy is a hugely overrated hack. I saw this a few days back - read what he had noted - and moved on. "I sat down and I thought, “I don’t want to do this warrior woman thing.” I can understand why they’re doing it, I get all that, but that’s not what [Wonder Woman creator] William Marston wanted, that’s not what he wanted at all!" But I think that's what the fans are hoping to see.
  17. My son says he's an amazing actor with acclaimed performances in independent films so what do I know
  18. What was it about this guy that says "Barry Allen" to the casting agent
  19. I was reading the Flash Omnibus copy of #106 and the thought struck me why didn't they give Grodd long sideburns like the original and a lot of subsequent renditions. It would have added an element identifying him from a common gigantic ape. Just a thought . . .
