  1. I remember when #105 used to be the coveted issue. The new reigning queen #98
  2. And a WW #1 5.0 is ending on ComicLink Wednesday. It's been a while since any have been offered in a public auction. There's a lot of others too - I've heard they're from a fairly high grade collection. There's even a #98 in 6.5 in it. Good stuff!
  3. Good thing the original owner didn't follow Uncle Sam's orders or you wouldn't be reading that great GA book
  4. Yeah, I heard about that book - ok I got it. I actually learned something today. You can choose to have a blue label and effect the grade or have the green label and the grade be based on the books condition, on a low grade book, a missing coupon rolls into the number and/or type of flaws allowable for a particular grade. i.e., a missing coupon is, after all just a large piece of missing paper - which is within the criteria for a 2.0 I would guess. The idea being on a higher-grade book it's better to take the green and have the books grade labeled incomplete and based on the remainder of the flaws whereas a low grade book can "absorb" the flaw and still be the grade it looks. Aye carumba, my heads hurts
  5. I think you get a green label specifying what the grade WOULD be without said defect. However, if you request a blue label when shipping to the CGC you get the grade that you'd get WITH the defect. SAY WHA Never heard of this That's a great little loophole.
  6. Haven't posted here in a while, so forgive me if this has already been discussed - I looked back few pages I thought a clipped-coupon got a green-labeled holder? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brave-and-the-Bold-1955-1st-Series-DC-28-CGC-2-0-1260101002-/311440402253?hash=item48834b674d
  7. Wow!!! We are not worthy Seriously that is a beautiful set.
  8. I can't believe the books being posted here lately! Just amazing! All Star 8 is one book I would love to someday hold in my hands. That WW 1-10 set is a great achievement. (thumbs u
  9. Sweet HD1 (thumbs u It's nice to have the opportunity to hold one and open it to the inside pages.
  10. Good advice. While I may pine about it sometimes, I've taken my fair share of profit on books and passed them on. It's still nice to have owned them all.

  15. That's only $10,500 more than I sold my 4.0 a few years back Crazy no ? For Showcase 4 ? Not according to those who say it's been undervalued Looks at Hulk #1 and AF #15 in these grades. SC #4 is still behind them
  16. That's only $10,500 more than I sold my 4.0 a few years back
  17. Joey, you are a good customer as well as a great resource for books. Always easy to deal with, fast payment and cordial communications. Thanks again (thumbs u
  18. I've done a few digitally digitally produced books, and have a bit of free time these days The problem with this type of book is it's almost out of date the minute it is printed, with all the new pads pooping up. But you could easily update it digitally, like a lot of reference books these days. kinda surprised they abandoned it
  19. My feedback echoes the sentiments of many here, Dan was a very cool guy you deal with and chat with as well. Great sense of humor, even if he seemed to laugh at my jokes. But seriously, I have no hesitations dealing with him, ever, and neither should you. Thanks again Dan - hope we do business again! Boba (thumbs u
