Congrats on the sale
He was on here with price updates for last few years - kinda surprised he missed out on the peak he could have cashed in on a couple years ago, if he was looking to sell
But, congrats anyway and good luck enjoying the $$$ in the Golden years

if someone is "unloading" such a big book, I doubt it would be to a guy who doesn't know how to find values of said big books ......and I doubt he wouldn't have scans/pictures of it sent over immediately
I'm calling BS on this

I think you will find many times insurance isn't all its cracked up to be. Have heard many stories over the years
when you got the claim the insurance company will twist and turn any way they can to get out of it. Make sure
you read your fine print before you sign.1st rule of Insurance: "We don't cover that"
2nd rule of insurance: "We do cover that, but unfortunately not in your case"

Just so I understand you - You are saying because they are going to get money they should say nicer things?
yuuuuuuuupppppppppp !!!
(actually I was just kidding............................)
it's actually an extremely fascinating story, and I think many of us on here may relate to this guy (the father) at least in a small way

It 100% was hoarding. It's pretty clear that in some ways the dad poured more into the hoard than he did into his family. The son still obviously was very emotionally attached to his dad - but he clearly wanted the dad to include him more in whatever the dad was into. They hinted at the fact that no one was allowed to touch anything. It's possible that no one else was allowed into the home. It seems like a pretty jacked up situation.
whatever it was, hoarding, mental illness, Aspbergers, a normal collector like all of us (!) ....... family hit the JACKPOT and should be kinder in the words they use to describe this man

I don't know, I always love reading the early solo Batman stories from late 30's ..... yes, I don't think they are worthy of study in a Grade 12 English class, but just great to see the first stories of the Dark Knight and how ruthless and serious he was, before the campiness set in.....

don't exactly remember, but it would have to be a PP the SSM I would assume, around 1977-78 ......

Why don't tell me, what is that exactly? Not everyone is that naive. I'm not the one that should apologize. And why should I apologize? Because I didn't believe in the validity of your "Once-In-A-Lifetime-Discovery" or jump on your bandwagon? Think before you start posting "fake discoveries" next time. We're community here, we lookout for each other. That's how it works.
I just read through the FaceBook posts' about the Hulk #1 scam, again. According to the FaceBook scam thread, you also purchased the fake CGC 6.0 Amazing Spider-Man #1, along with the fake Captain America comics #1 cover.
According to the FaceBook scam thread, this is your screen shot, right? What's the situation with that? Did you know it was fake? It must've been a lot of money for a book like that. I hope you didn't lose too much money on it. Was that book also thrown in like the Captain America Comics #1 cover because it was worthless? Why didn't you tell the CGC community about the fake CGC 6.0 Amazing Spider-Man #1? Didn't hear a peep about that. Give us some information about the slab. Was it a resealed old CGC slab? Was it a non-CGC 3rd party made slab? How about the label? Also, did you contact CGC's outside counsel, Mark Zaid? He posted all of his contact information on that Facebook scam thread. He wanted to know more information about the fake CGC slabs. There's still a thread in Comics General about this very scam. How about you post all your findings there? Like I said, we're community here, help us out here...... Come on man, what's with that????
+1 this started failing my smell test after about page 3 of this thread ............................................

Even if "unofficially" at this point ---- do people here accept/believe that there is, or will be in the future, a premium on items that have the full TODD signature as opposed to the more standard now T-dot sigs ? Thoughts ??

I still haven't seen anyone post the signed cards that he was putting into random submissions? Is there any story on that? Were they CGC graded? and do they have a signature label for their card grading line yet?
I have the same question - who got them, if this was even a thing at all ??!! I know I got diddly sqaut ......

When I saw these 2 pages by Jim Aparo come up for sale from Phantom Stranger 11, that was that. I had previously seen them posted on Facebook, and hadn't owned any with Tannarak (a vampire of human souls) and PS together. This is a nice fight scene between the 2 of them with PS delivering his classic roundhouse punch. For my money. the best pair since Jayne Mansfield (with a young Jennifer Love Hewitt close behind).
Just love JA's work !

my point was more how he was literally obsessed with prices and sales for so long, over and over, on this thread for last few years .... and the irony that he chose to sell now
I guess we now won't get the hourly sales updates of all AF15's all the time anymore ..............
