  1. I think Action 101 is a great one as well.
  2. To quote Groucho Marx, "I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception."
  3. I think Doug has the first 100 books up in my run, so all the silver age are posted. I had a bunch of old label books and several were strong candidates for pressing. I chose not to because I did not want to press Western Penns and Pacific Coast books. I hope I am not leaving too much money on the table and I hope some collectors get them in there old labels and leave them. Did I make a bad choice?
  4. That is a very nice run. Have you ever owned a #1.
  5. Here's the image resized using HTML (thumbs u
  6. He just needs a real movie not starring an actor named Ben.
  7. That's market and still market. The 9.2 has not got a bid over 89K. An 8.0 sold two years ago for 17.5K. A really nice 7.5 sold this year for 12.1K. And a 6.0 Cr-ow just sold for 8.9. I don't think MV gets a pedigree bump like the 8.0 Ohio copy would if it comes up.
  8. Daredevil is more than a semi-key. One of these days ole horny head will get a bump and he will rise to Iron Man and Thor status. Ten years ago both of those dudes were considered semi- keys.
  9. Prices keep on marching upward. What would the Keller copy bring today if it came up for auction again?
  10. That is a crazy asking price. The prices on this book have gone almost no where.
  11. Most definitely. More supply less demand.
  12. Dear Gator, Have you ever had a gator in your yard?
  13. The 122 is staying home. The 133 is up for grabs. As far as the 123 WP, I'm not sure he would get his money back. When it sold it was the sole highest graded. Now it has three more buddies.
  14. Steve, They told me they would love to come home.
  15. I was wondering when that was going to come out. No. There is no marketing needed. They will do their own talking hopefully. I just wanted to share what I was able to put together. I took the pictures for me so I would have something. I had not had the books together since I started getting the run. 20-30 were at the bank, some where at the office, and some where at home. I am keeping my seven favorites. I'm also not done. It's funny that there are about five I don't have that I want more than most I do have. So those are the one's I am focusing on. I actually accquired one of them yesterday.
  16. Oh tell me he's not the person that has it. Well, he is old. Hopefully the son doesn't collect comics. He needs to be into Faberge Eggs
  17. We have had this discussion before and now it seems this book is still on the rise. 23K for a weak 8.0 and the last SC4 8.0 (strong copy) sold for 17.5 K two years ago.
  18. The books really look good in person. I would have loved to crack them but I am a chicken.
  19. One of these days I want a chance if that book ever comes up. It's in my top five and I have held out on the other three 9.4s to have a shot at it.
  20. Is there any DC Silver age book you don't have?
  21. 144 is one of my favorites as well. All of these are Western Penns. 147 is a cover swipe of 123.
  22. More Western Penn's. The 141 is my favorite book in the run. That one came from a boardie.
  23. Ok, I was inspired by the group shot thread and was working on the books and decided to take some shots. Western Penns
  24. I'm posting a bunch of group shots tonight in the Flash thread. Here is the low end of what will be posted.
