  1. I actually considered that one because of the white pages but yes the chips turned me away.
  2. That book is comparable to a Spidey #2 but much rarer. If I were an avid Flash collector, I would click to OWN that book. If it were an 8.5 I would. I just couldn't get myself to pay up for the 9.0. There are so many good books to be had at that price.
  3. Well, the 9.0 sold for over 8K and there are only 12 at that grade and above. The last one sold for 1315.00 and you would think that is either his buy or he paid something near that. If you go to him direct you should be able to get it for 1600.00. What would you pay?
  4. Au contraire- Since Barry Allen and Geoff Johns has returned to the Flash has been a top ten book every month. My fear is that the Flash is due for a run. SC 22 was a dead book for years until Geoff Johns and a movie. Now the Flash has Geoff and there has been movie talk. I need about 4 more years to get everything I need and I would rather not pay high prices.
  5. I think it should have read GL 40 4.0 and a free SC22 3.5.
  6. I don't think it would have but you never know. For sure SC22 is more valuable thatn Flash 105 now and it still is ranked lower in the OSPG.
  7. A CGC 1.5 with married pages sold for 788.00 in July.
  8. So the Motor City SC4 was a white pager 9.6. What was the #22?
  9. Yeah but I stopped in 1992 and did not get back in until 2007.
  10. That was a 50K mistake. I think that would rate as a bad day when you found that out.
  11. What is interesting is that nothing over 9.0 in a SC 22 has been uncovered but there are 2- 9.2s and -9.4 for Flash 105.
  12. Back in the day no one knew who had what and no one was connected. Heck, most people that collected probably never visited a comic store or bought an overstreet guide.
  13. There's nothing more impressive than a beater that is loved.
  14. I had a 106 when I was 21 so it could not have been that scarce because I did not have a lot of money back in those days. I think it is plenty scarce in 7.0 and above. I want one in 8.5-9.0 but I was not ready to drop 8K on it when there are other books I "need".
  15. Did it possibly belong to Pastor Jones in FL?
  16. Those three show up rarely although a high grade 8 and 13 are available right now.
  17. Go for it...don't wait to long. 6.0+ is where it is. Yah, you really think so. That just seems high to me. It has been up there at that price for over a year and no one has bit.
  18. 108 9.0 finished at 7900.00 Nice start to the auction.
