  1. That is a nice looking book. It proves that things can always slip through the cracks.
  2. Hey this is a silver age thread But I agree. The way MC 1 and Whiz 1 have been relegated is nuts. Nothing has changed about those books except the market has become fickle in the last couple of months. But the same holds true about SC 22. I always thought it was a top 5 DC Silver age book. But I guess it took everyone else 50 years to figure that out.
  3. Based on my recollection of the scans in the past, the Clink SC #22 9.0 would have a good shot at pressing out to a 9.2 now. (thumbs u I remember it got re-holdered once in 2009 and saw it in the CGC gallery briefly. Now who has that nice scan of the CL SC22 to share. That book won't see the press or the light of day for years. It is in good hands.
  4. Ain't that the truth. 30,500 for a 9.6 76 would buy a whole lot of SC 22 that are more rare and should be just as desireable.
  5. So do you think a 9.6 SC 22 if it exists would bring 160K, taking in account there would also have to be a 9.2 and 9.4 to compare things evenly. The last 9.0 sold for 59K and that was at the height of the mania. The last 8.5 SC 4 that sold brought over 30K and it was dog copy Mohawk two years ago.
  6. Does SC22 still have a ways to go to catch SC4? A much debated question on these boards. Tonights evidence. In the CL auction two similar books werenselling at the same time one right over top of the other. SC 4 CGC 3.5 2300.00 SC 22 CGC 4.5 2051.00
  7. It looks like a solid copy. It is amazing how the grades are all over the place on this collection.
  8. That is a very clean and bright copy. Do you think you would get a 9.2 or better if slabbed?
  9. I'll be praying that your work has impact of someone's life. Be safe.
  10. If you sell that sweet looking WW 9 you will have a down payment.
  11. His origin story in SC4 is outstanding. Great art and an origin that is not too silly.
  12. He sure is asking a premium over what the last few have sold for.
  13. How much is a rental worth for a group shot and one month in your registry.
  14. The problem is when you make a big sale she finds out how much you are really spending on "funny books".
  15. Does the white stripe hinder the Savannah copy?
  16. How is that the big one?? CGC census 12/10: 38 in 9.2, 28 higher. This is on ComicLink January Focused Auction: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #14 Read more carefully, I said "a" big one not "the" big one. And it is bigger than anyone posted so far. The one on CL is a big one as well.
  17. A big one coming up in Febs Heritage Sale: Heritage ASM 14
  18. Thats a nice looking book. Congrats. (thumbs u
  19. I would buy it but it is a little out of my league. That's why I suggest you dump it. I would definitely pay the price you paid for it. It is still one of the top five silver age books. A movie and Geoff Johns is all that is needed to breathe a little life into the franchise. I say good luck with the book. As my mamma use to say when she was selling something. It neither eats nor drinks so I'm in no hurry.
