  1. Holy . It looks like we are starting with some big numbers.
  2. I like the origin story and art and then it is about 20 issues before I really start loving the book. There are a lot of SC 4 for sale right now but to me the prices are too high on most of them. They range from : 9.2 at 89000 8.0 at 30000 6.0 at 11000 4.5 at 2700 on CC. 7.5 Mp for 2700
  3. That just about covers it. All you need is a SC8, 129, and 137. Great group shot.
  4. I will post one here before 12-31-10 or else.
  5. Is anyone excited about the pressed Flash book auction tonight?
  6. Those are pretty cool. I bet they would be hard to find in high grade.
  7. It looks so perfect...yeah the new term "restoredds" Quoting from the ad-"While the cover scan we provide gives you only a representation of what your book should look like, below we have listed a very detailed written description of our grading standards for this particular book." Description of the book- "SHOWCASE (Series Began 1956)) Issue #22 RESTOREDDS comics in Fine condition. Published by DC Comics." Any takers
  8. The Heritage weeklys have been awesome as of late.
  9. All collections are lacking in our own eyes. I bet even Ian and Gary Keller thought their collections were lacking. That is why we collect. If they weren't we would stop.
  10. 127 and 172 are two of my favorites. That is a nice copy and you got it for a great price.
  11. That is awesome. And I bet it took time to set up the shot. You even removed the bags off of the slabs.
  12. Here is another issue I picked up this summer. It has been a slow summer for me.
  13. I think the earliest WP that is slabbed is issue 121 and the latest is 167. Can anyone confirm that?
  14. Tim, That book will stay in my hands for a long time. I had known who had it and never pressed the issue but had always hoped I would have a shot at it. How many WP did you end up accquiring.
  15. This thread needs a bump. I think this book is worthy. It is one of the hard ones. I got it from a boardie. It was one of Tim's former books. But what book isn't.
  16. I have always wanted a 220. You have balls of steel to be a cracker. Nice Work.
  17. No but a half a dozen are. SC22, AF15, TOS 39, JIM 83 are still hot but somthing else will be the it thing for next year. The thing about the SC22 run is that we only pulled one high grade book out of woodworks. I would have thought more would have appeared. BTW- How in the world is this book still ranked below Flash 105 in the Top Ten Silver Age books? It is more important, more valuable, and more rare and I am a Flash guy.
  18. It actually warms my heart to have a 1 of 5 and know there may only be 3 or 4.
  19. Is X-Men 1 the new hot Marvel book. It has had a ton of supply and prices have held or advanced pretty well.
  20. Huh? Yes in later years there were rumors about what the stars really meant, it went the gambit from distribution areas of the country so they could include different advertising, to how many times Hef had slept with the playmate. Playboy Advisor finally fessed up to it meant advertising areas. HOWEVER there was no advertising in Vol 1 Issue #1, so that blows that theory. Now tell us what the spraying the pallets with ink was for? Rancher WTTB
  21. How about Tales to Astonish #1. The first one I have seen in awhile sold on Heritage this month and I noticed there is not one graded higher that 8.5 and only 7 copies 7.0 or better. That seems like a hard one in high grade.
